What does the dollar ranking mean?
Dollar ranking = # of issues sold multiplied by cover price. At $3.99 it puts XO #1 at #26 on the dollar ranking.

Then I wonder why it's higher than AVENGERS ASSEMBLE #3 which sits two positions higher than XO #1 with the same cover price but is lower on the dollar ranking :?

Variants :?

Maybe distributor discount? Marvel might be able to offer a higher discount than Valiant lowering the total revenue for AVENGERS ASSEMBLE #3. :?
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

With this note: "It does not include any sales [for] overseas markets."
I've seen notes that the non-U.S. numbers are often an extra 10%-15%.

Dollar Ranking is actually # of issues sold multiplied by the retailer purchase price, not the cover price.

if publishers had a special discount on certain issues, these would be lower in the charts than those of the same cover price without special discounts.

I have heard similar percentages but have never really seen any core data. Canada and Mexico, although "international" are probably included in the US dist numbers as they are serviced from Diamond's dist centre (South American Markets and probably even Australian and New Zealand perhaps). I recall Diamond pretty much cornering the market in England/europe buying up other distributors where all other countries are serviced from (other then those serviced from the main ctrs in the US).

Have searched but never found anything
