Infinity guanltet. Moon knight, marvel question

Post by Phantom.. »

One --- the first infinity gauntlet series is it important to read before the others? Infinity crusade and infinity war.

Two ---- does moon knight appear in infinitY gauntlet

Three --- infinity gauntlet issue one, is that the one with a plastic gem on the front?

Four --- Is their a version that does not have this ,gem,?

Is the infinity gauntlet / crusade / war important in the marvel universe?

I personally think that Infinity Gauntlet is worth reading either way, but I think the whole story line will make more sense if you read it in order. Warlock and the Infinity Watch is also a good follow-up to Infinity Gauntlet. There is no plastic gem on any of the Infinity comics as far as I know. Maybe you're thinking of the DC comic Eclipso? It had a cover with him holding a purple gem that was plastic glued to the cover.

I don't think any of the Infinity stories are "important", but the Gauntlet and War were pretty good stories. I didn't much care for Crusade.

No - but it is 100 times better

Two ---- does moon knight appear in infinitY gauntlet
Infinity Gauntlet 3 - 1 panel cameo

Three --- infinity gauntlet issue one, is that the one with a plastic gem on the front?
No - Eclipso Darness Within #1

Four --- Is their a version that does not have this ,gem,?
Yes - Eclipso Darkness Within #1 (W/O Gem)

None of the Infinity Issues had a gem on the cover

Is the infinity gauntlet / crusade / war important in the marvel universe? Gauntlet - Yes - War - Yes to an extent - Crusade - Eh - You could live w/o it

After Infinity Gauntlet, the story indicates that few people remember the whole affair but in Infinity Crusade, Hulk brings it up and the reactions indicate that the many assembled heroes remember at least some of the details of Infinity Gauntlet.

Like Bruce said, Infinity Gauntlet is better than Infinity War and Infinity Crusade. Infinity War is pretty good but Infinity Gauntlet is just so well done. The first few issues of Infinity Crusade are good too until issue 6. The ending of Infinity Crusade tastes like ashes.

Warlock and the Infinity Watch is not crucial to the story but it does tie in and fills out Infinity War and Infinity Crusade. The Infinity Watch picks up right were Infinity Gauntlet leaves off and fleshes out more of the stories. There was a second title that ran for 8 issues - Warlock Chronicles - and the first few issues tie in to Infinity Crusade while the last few issues tie in to Blood and Thunder which was a story arc that followed Infinity Crusade (not a sequel though it does pick up on a few things in the final issue).

I am a huge Thanos fan and I really enjoyed these stories. In Warlock and the Infinity Watch 10, an Infintiy War tie-in, Thanos fights his own doppelganger. Fun stuff. After his appearance in the Infinity Crusade and Blood and Thunder (where he fights Odin and doesn't lose) Thanos appears in an arc of the Secret Defenders that flows into the forgettable Cosmic Powers mini-series.

I really like the Infinity Gauntlet. I thought Jim Starlin and Ron Lim's run on Silver Surfer (1987 series issues 34-50 minus the fill-in issues) was really good at setting up the Infinity Gauntlet storyline, and so was Starlin and Lim's 2 part Thanos Quest. So usually when I read IG I read it something like this:

Silver Surfer 34-43
Thanos Quest 1-2
Silver Surfer 44-50
Infinity Gauntlet 1-6
Warlock and the Infinity Watch

But you don't have to or anything, you can just read the Infinity Gauntlet by itself. But I think Thanos Quest is great and worth reading once at least. :thumb:

That is one of my favorite Infinity Watch issues. Really energetic art in that one.

Yes, it is about how he acquires the Infinity Gems from their previous owners. Some of the ways he gets them are pretty cool.
