PLAYING GOD TPB Story Discussion! - SPOILER ALERT!!!!
Hey all,
I received my copy of "Playing God" yesterday and I read through the entire story for the first time last night. Man, what a huge, fun ride that Craig and Stu have taken us on!!! Per a short talk with Craig, I have decided to begin a discussion thread to see what you guys think about the story and most importantly, the mystery of our villain
Here is my opinion of who our green baddie might be:
- Clay McHenry (from Solar's original universe)
- Dr. Dobson (from Solar's original universe)
What do you think?

To be fair, it IS a bit of a trick question . . . I can confirm that the identity of the person in question is in your post.JonesyAZ wrote:Hey all,

!!!! My gut tells me it's Clay, since the character references him during his "pseudo-origin" tale.X-O HoboJoe wrote:To be fair, it IS a bit of a trick question . . . I can confirm that the identity of the person in question is in your post.JonesyAZ wrote:Hey all,

I had a feeling he popped up before that, but off the top of my head, I could only recall the Dr. Mirage storyiggy101us wrote:Otherman first appeared in HARD Corps.JonesyAZ wrote:Also, I have to give props to the creators in their use of Otherman in the story. It inspired me to go back and re-read his appearance in Dr. Mirage last night

The answers to who or what the EC is are in the story, just listen to what he tells Clay and you will find the truth.
As for Otherman, he's just a character that I love. He only made two story app's but it was enough that I wanted to play with him a bit. Funny thing is that he is written like two total different characters in those stories. For this I went with the version I felt was better.

I also think he's a great character (when he 1st appeared in HARD Corps). In fact, I bought multiple copies of it off the stands thinking he would become a major villian.dellamorte wrote:The answers to who or what the EC is are in the story, just listen to what he tells Clay and you will find the truth.

Ah yeah, my bad there . . . That guy was one of the bums Phil used to hang out with on the stoop in NY. Geoff ran into them too. He's cleaned up from being on the street and in the warehouse with Ben Blake when he died. Went for a feeling of "It's not over yet" by having him at the funeral where Harada either brought him (and is responsible for him now) or is watching him because he's the new vessel for the big-bad and Toyo suspects/knows this.JonesyAZ wrote:Harada was VERY well done! The image of the exploding Harbinger building was AWESOME, BTW.
Oh, I had one more clarification question; who is the guy in the very front of the final panel of the story? I assume the speech bubble is referencing Harada behind him...but I could not figure the guy out?
Also was trying to convey the idea that Harada could have won the fight in Atlanta by killing Blake but he's pushing Pete by forcing him to do it (see the smirk panel right after Sting kills BB.)
