(...... speechless....)
I am brought to tears by the actions of men I will never know but have played an important role in the safety and future of my children.

It's a horrible film. Still I know that the real horror can never be conveyed in a film or even imagined by us all over the world who are protected by the US military.

Because of people like you, people like me get to live a sheltered '/ privillaged life without knowing the true cost.

Honestly, I don't think that the it ensured freedom to anyone BUT a humanitarian effort that turned into a bug hunt and then went wrong from the very beginning.
The movie Black Hawk Down is pretty darn accurate... a couple Hollywood moments but it gives me some pretty strong feelings as I watch it... I have not watched it in yeas though. There is no need.

Knowing you as I do, I would bet on the above statement. And I am not a gambling man. But that statement is no gamble, just fact.

Chris, I actually thought about you yesterday, and even wondered where that book of yours got off to.
I need to track that down...

If you get the chance, check out my band "A Dark Halo" (if you like heavy metal w/ industrial leanings
) We are BIG supporters of our soldiers. The only out of state gig I performed was in San Marcos about two years ago and a bunch of Marines from the nearby base came to the show. They had discovered us while stationed in the Iraq skirmish, and my music helped them get through hard times. To have had the opportunity to share my art with them and to shake their hands and shed tears with them is something I will never forget!!!
If you want to hear my band, go to the following link and please listen to "Unbreakable," it's my personal favorite tune and the lyrics are about finding your strength and realizing just how important you are!
