I am off to the Dead Universe of..... Disney

Post by Knightt »

Thats right I am taking 10 days off from work and going to Disney then Sea World in California with the wife and kids. We have not been on vacation since I retired and with all the military/retired military freebies at both parks and the incredible deals I have brokered with the hotels.... well we saved up enough CASH to be able to finally break away.

And ya know fellas, two things here.... first and importantly, Alyssa is WAY into the Princesses thing so this will be SO memorable for her. I have told my wife, go... take the kids on all the fun rides and great things to see. I will solely take Alyssa to the things that she wants to see and experience. So, my wife can go ahead and have some fun for once with the bigger kids and I will have the time of my life watching my youngest daughter's eyes widen in excitement everytime we see something special for her... heck, makes me want to cry a bit.

Secondly, I have needed a break SO bad for so long now. Weight of the world on my shoulders, medical problems, aches and pains in abundance and even to add to it... I got a job offer from Oberon today wanting me to head up their Special Operation Forces Intelligence Training Program, either here at Fort Huachuca, AZ or at Fort Bragg, NC (probably the latter). They even called me back when I told them my salary requirements (I aint cheap), I am VERY surprised with that but anyhow. I just NEED a break, drive a while, catch a hotel, go the next day to the theme parks, spend a couple days there see some amazement, get really close to Alyssa (meet up with Elveen and his family AGAIN, big highlight of my trip out there), then off to San Diego and Sea World where we will do all the family stuff. I look forward to swimming with the dolphins and other cool things like that. Being retired we got a great deal, $89 for all of us at Disney for three days and even totally free for two days at Sea World.

I hope that my kids are able to capture precious memories, my wife and I are able to reconnect a bit (even amongst the maelstrom to begin) and I can make a little girl happy just by being her daddy.

I think I get a comic book hunt day while in Disney or Sea World, so that might bring riches as well... gotta love the GPS on that day.

So, my people... my friends. I am going to try and make it just a focused family event so I might not be on here OR I may chronocle what goes on a bit everyday, kinda like a blog so that I can have a record of this long awaited event.

This is gonna be great.... I'll see you guys when I see ya.

Have a great time on vacation.

I just got back a few weeks ago from my Disney orlando trip.

There is nothing like spending time with your family and having fun at the same time.

Enjoy
