eBay format
Anyone have any suggestions on what might make a helpful outline for selling comics on eBay? I'm talking about the place where you describe your books. I want mine to be both pretty and functional.

Just to start off the topic I'll post something I, as a buyer, look for first when viewing any listing..
1) condition
2) do they take paypal?
3) eBay ranking
4) do they ship to me?
5) shipping fees.
6) who all is currently bidding.
The rest of the information is usually of non interest. Some little facts about who has all owned the book or how many exsist is interesting as long as it doesn't distract from the five points listed above. The sixth point is only during special circumstances. Things like Aug02 bidding or multiple 0 feedback bidders racking up $$ bids are of interest to me.

Re: eBay format
If the issued is CGC'd, I always mention that the case is perfect with no scratches & that it is sporting the newest CGC lable.whetteon wrote:Anyone have any suggestions on what might make a helpful outline for selling comics on eBay? I also mention that I ship my items by priority mail in a BOX. A lot of sellers ship their issues in an envelope with a thin piece of cardboard backing that is almost garaunteed to get bent in the mail.
I try to hype up the fact as to how hot the issue is & what the print run is (5000 copies made, etc.)
And I always, always include a scan of the issue even if it is CGC'd. And I make sure to pick the show picture option. This is where you see the pic while you are scrolling down the eBay lists.
Pick the bold text text option when listing rare items (Harbinger Pink CGC 9.8, Solar #1 CGC 9.8 etc)
Always include the word "Valiant" in the listing, or "CGC" if it is graded. This makes it easier for people to find your items on a search.
Make sure to add... "Feel free to e-mail me with any questions." too.

I have a Qualified NM Magnus #0 from the "It's not my fault it's bent in half" collection.
