THANKS for all the help - Crossgen

Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

THANKS for all the help - Crossgen

Post by Knightt »

PLEASE people... I am REALLY close to my Crossgen collection and I am practically begging for help on this one. Please look at my list and if you can help me out and get me closer to being at 100% on at least the common issues PLEASE help me out. I will go as far as even paying cover price (which I am loath to do, but WILL if need be as I am so close). If you have dupes or know a place that has them, PLEASE help me out here.

I have also included a list of TPBs, Travelers (LOVE THOSE) and Edge, Forge etc that I am needing. I priorities with the common issues first so that I can start to read with the TPBs etc coming in at second.

I just want to START reading this universe, men and I am SO CLOSE. It will get to the point of going to Lonestar Comics if I have to but I am asking here first.

I 'am' a stickler on these issues being in good shape though. I know beggars can't be choosers but on this universe I have been lucky to get books in GREAT shape.

I am asking for your help on this one... I will trade nice books that you may need, cash other 'stuff', whatever it takes so that I can get to reading these. I flipped through a recent 'Traveler' that was sent to my by comicsyte95 (along with some other GREAT CG books that I was needing... THANK YOU DUDE) and it got the ball rolling and I am in a fever pitch to finish this up once and for all. I realize the TPBs could take a while but that is ok... Keep in mind man, if you finish the top of you list (Mystic to Way of the Rat), you pretty much have the main universe (and I think even Way of the Rat is ancillary at best). All those other books are not required to read the main Crossgen Universe.

I broke down and ordered the last 4 issues I needed from Sojourn from Lone Star. Most were only 88 cents when I got them, I think one of the later ones was about $2.

I just checked Lone Star, they have all of these issues in NM for 98 cents:

Mystic
7

Sigil
17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24

The Path
0 (Prequel)

Way of the Rat
10

That's all the regular "Sigilverse" books except for the Negation issues. They have Negation #18 for 80 cents, but the best condition they have is VF. They are sold out on #19 and #27 costs $2.40, presumably because it is the last issue and supposedly rarer.

Whats on my list is what I intend ta read, ancillary or not. In my mind they all belong together, whether it be by just label or whatever. I know that Space Ace is in no connected but it's been on my list so long, it 'feels' like it should be there.

Good prices at Lone Star, they can be hit and miss there sometimes. I'll give it a day or three here and if nothing, off I go to lonestar before I leave town 'again'.

To me their is no 'main Crossgen Universe', just everything CG put out that I am going to read. :)

All of it, ALL of it... I just like all of it.

I think way of the Rat is a Sigil centric book, if I am not mistaken.

Who out there has any of those Traveler books ? Are they not the neatest things ? I thought I would hate them until I I picked one up... talk about way cool (IMO).

Thanks for EVERYONE who has responded and as always, thank you to Draco and Brother J, Drac tries to come up with the goods and Bro J does the extensive internet research to point me in the right direction (which I actually believe is a segmented portion of 3-4 links that are used to 'answers Knightt's stupid questions' hehehe

But I was pleased to find answers to my EARLY morning, pain pilled out, playing Batman: Arkum Asylum opiate laden thread.

I love you guys like Brothers, ya know ?

Draco... we gotta chat on the phone soon, man.

And I am making plans on going to the Comic Con in NY this coming October (if I am not on company travel... I leave Monday for the Capital... D.C., I think I will sneak in and teabag Obama, hehehe). So, I am thinking we have had Valiant meetings before, why not have a DU meeting ? I can probably do a East Coast, West Coast get together this year (I'm connected with Delta Corporate these days)

Anybody up for a DU meeting ? Nothing fancy, but a nice dinner for sure... I might even do a 'Con project book', at no cost.

My all-time favorite CrossGen thing was a newspaper article about the company that seemed to think Way of the Rat was called Wave The Rat.

All of my Edge and Forge TPBs are sitting in a box, I guess you could give them a better home. Let me dig them out and you can have them.
