the first 4 pages seem to be photocopies of the original inks glued to a board, with an acetate overlay with words. These 4 are the only ones like this. the rest have no words and are the original inks. first 4, $25 each. The rest of the pages are $30 each. Post Sold here!

For give my ignorance but is there a Valiant connection here? Just a little curious since you posted an announcement in the “General VALIANT Discussion” area.

I have always felt that Defiant was in the Valiant Apocrypha. It definitely has ties to Valiant, but not as outright as Acclaim.

He's in the right section and there's enough Valiant provenance to put a link up there.

This is perhaps a glance into the future of Valiant... or perhaps, a Valiant that could have been. I really felt that Shooter wanted to explore the more 'based on real science' aspect in Valiant and would have gotten to it if things had went differently.

Defiant books have a tether to real world science, much in the same way that Valiant did but with superhero flare.

I am not familiar with the story. Is there a rundown of what it was suppose to be somewhere?

Nothing spectacular, cb. I mean Defiant was Defiant. They were a little stingy on quality or art back then if you ask me, especially in an age when snazzy art, high detail and computer coloring were coming into the mix... it felt like a second rate independent comic company was putting a few books together every month.

Not much of Defiant makes sense as it was cut off early and I am positive that a great ground floor was being established by Shooter but when the court cases began to mount, it took away Shooter's time and IMO the books suffered. I like them non the less.

You having the art is very nice... but then again, 'someone' out there was bound to come up with it sooner or later. Especially with JayJay and possibly others are cleaning out their closets hoping the 'clean up'.

Just a side note... The tanning and glue are very exaggerated in my pics. The art does not look brown like in the pics.

I was not implying that the post was in the wrong section. I just didn't know the book's Valiant significance and wanted to know more. Thanks for the clarification though.

I actually missed 1 page, but I have no idea where the rest are. These were rescued last minute when the office was being cleaned out at Defiant. They have remained together, and no other pages sold. There is a good chance they were destroyed or tossed in the trash. Is there any more interest in these? I'd rather a collector have these. I just rescued them from obscurity in a storage bin. I;ll give someone(Jim, lol) a deal on all the rest!
