All this talk of 'snipping' is making me keep my legs crossed.

MS Walk - April 19, 2009 NYC

Post by mrwoogieman »

My 12 year old daughter has signed up for the MS Walk in NYC through her school's Junior National Honor Society chapter. She's excited about participating in her first real fundraising event, and I'm supporting her 100% in carrying on a family tradition of community service. If fact, I'll be tagging along for the walk together with the family dog!

The cause is close to home for us because one of my best friends suffers from this terrible affliction. In the last 10 years, my friend has gone from being an average, active 40-something year old avid golfer and outdoorsman to needing a scooter to get around and being unable to negotiate stairs or even get in or out of a car without assistance.

I'm not hoping to break any records here, but a donation of just a few dollars will make her feel like she's contributed to the cause and maybe make her a little more conscience of a bigger world than the day to day drama of being an almost teenager.

Thanks everyone!
