Well, the big news is a Solar 10 9.8. Finally, after about 30 tries, I did get one. I was pretty sure about it, too. It was one of those books where you just don't want to touch the thing or even examine it too closely it looks so good. I sent it in blind (essentially a through the bag isnpection).
I also got a Rai 5 9.8. I hope I do not have to sell either of those, but I do need to pay for the slabbing fees. I'm going to hold off a few months and see how I do with the rest.
I will have some pre-unity 9.6s and 9.8s to sell, but most of the submissions were holes in my personal set. I did send in some doubles so I will have some commons and late issues to sell as well.

Congrats Chris!
Those two are a *SQUEE* to get in 9.8. Isn't it amazing how many it took to finally get a 9.8? 30? wow... and that is only the one you thought MIGHT be good enough to get 9.8.
So how many rai 5's have you sent in?
Great job!
Rico

It's the only one where I had some confidence it was the sharpest tool in the shed. The others I had looked at too closely.Ricomortis wrote:ckb wrote:Well, the big news is a Solar 10 9.8. Rai 5 is never a book I have had many copies of to spam them at CGC. Maybe 10. This is my second 9.8. I sold my other one for (what I thought was) "crazy money" (in a private sale) and then the next one sold for $450 (in a public sale). Thankfully I was able to conjure a replacement.
I also got a VM 3 9.8 in this batch. Not as tough as the #2, but still. I think I can sell that one - I have to check my set. I may just have a 9.6.

I wish!! I don't believe I submitted any pre-unity Shadowman this time around. But it's possible because I do not remember every book I submitted.greg wrote:Did you get the Shadowman 1 CGC 9.9 that appeared on the census?
I only had one 30-book 9.6 screen and the rest were 9.8 screens. I would have put a SM1 in with the 9.8 screens and I only have a few of those back.

Not trying to turn this into a selling thread, but I will share a few of the ones that won't be sold in the next couple months. All the books in my 9.6 pre-screen are in this album:
