Quite a collection.

It'd be nice but it'd take a lot of fun out collecting. I know for me 1/2 of it is the hunt. To finally find that book I've been looking for.

I agree. Part of the fun of putting together my Valiant set was poring through quarter-boxes and getting to meet the guys on here through trades and such.

I remember putting together my Flash (v2) run for years. Whenever I'd go to a new city or something I'd check out the LCSs and be absolutely thrilled when I'd find something I was missing.

Early last year I went on eBay and in one sitting bought the 10-12 issues I needed for a complete set. Pretty anticlimactic.

Actually, the bin is $2200. (1K less than the original $3200). At $1K I would have a hard time convincing myself not to buy it.

If I had that kind of $$$$, 1K seems like a steal. But I did not really price it out.

Yea I actually ''won'' this lot at 1k but didnt meet the reserve.

Honestly after adding up the costs of some of this and really looking into the condition....there is no way I would pay 2k for this lot

Yes, condition would be the key.

I asked about shipping to Canada and he said $150, so I set my max to $850. 1K is about all I'd pay as well, which is actually more like 1.2K for me right now.

Congrats on winning ... nothing ... yet. Maybe 3rd times a charm if he drops the BIN another 1K. Then I'll split it if you want.

I believe he is an Indian outlaw, half Cherokee and Choctaw, his baby is a Chippewa, she's one of a kind.

(I hate the fact that I know that song, but my wife is a big Tim McGraw fan.)
