Accliam Turok: Joshua Fireseed
Anyone likes the Accliam comics of Turok. Also, how is Tal'Set related to Joshua, besides being Turok?

When Acclaim revamped Turok. They made a "Turok" lineage that starts with Tal'Set (The Valiant One). All other "Turoks" would decend from him through the Fireseed family.
After many generations of "Turoks", Joshua was handed the mantle by Carl Fireseed (his Uncle). Later on when Joshua died in 'Shadows Of Oblivion', the mantle was passed on to his sister Danielle and his younger brother Joseph.

Some of them are actually OK to pretty good.

I'll second that...Daniel Jackson wrote:Yeah, they didn't hit the ground running, but after awhile they came up with some pretty good concepts for several of the characters.iggy101us wrote: Some of them are actually OK to pretty good.

Well, if one such as the "original" Bloodshot were to eat a large enough amount of the right proteins, most tissue damage would be healed and replaced that way, not by the nanites just constructing new flesh.dave wrote:i liked the idea of bloodshot having to "add" flesh or whatever in order to rehab his body...kinda made more sense than the nanites always being able to reconstruct anything no matter the amount of tissue loss.

i eat chinese food right out of the carton too...
i just didn't remember it ever being mentinoed that BS (!) had to do anything to aid the nanites in "fixing" him...did they establish that? haven't read past CE and i wouldn't really remember anyway if they did, i don't get too wrapped up in that stuff

I have only read BloodShot up to issue 12, so I'm not sure if this is how it's explained, it's just how I explain it to myself.dave wrote:i eat chinese food right out of the carton too...

::::Possible Spoilers:::: After Chaos Effect and just prior to Birthquake, there was a crossover with Secret Weapons where Ninjak had to reconfigure-for lack of a better term, and I might be a bit off-BS's blood/nanites. I recall something soon after where he had to "concentrate" to heal if the damage was severe enough.slym2none wrote:I have only read BloodShot up to issue 12, so I'm not sure if this is how it's explained, it's just how I explain it to myself.dave wrote:i eat chinese food right out of the carton too...

But, SLYM? # 12? His day off? Come on, man! Read some more. It's one of the few titles that didn't totally suck by the end.

Don't you know? I am a reluctant post-Unity collector. I only have a handful of issues (besides a complete Rai run) past Unity at all, but multiples of a lot of the pre-Unity comics.xodacia81 wrote:SLYM? # 12? His day off? Come on, man! Read some more. I bet he still had to eat a lot of meat and other proteins, they just didn't show it. Again, that's how I help explain it to myself, but I'm not gonna go all "MotA" on anyone that disagrees!BloodOfHeroes wrote:*VALIANT (1991-1996)* Bloodshot carried around vitamins and supplements to assist the nanites in their reconstructive duties.
SPOILER (??)
After he lost a leg to Proteus, Bloodshot was able to use metal to help rebuild the missing limb.
Can we please not abbreviate it "BS," folks?![]()

And I like calling it BS.....

Yes, come to think of it, I did. I've been a bit foggy, of late. However, there is just no excuse not to finish up Bloodshot if you are a RAI fanslym2none wrote:Don't you know? I don't disagree. Except he's able to use more than just meat and protein, at least short-term.slym2none wrote:I bet he still had to eat a lot of meat and other proteins, they just didn't show it. Is this Valiant still? I have all the issues but have not gotten around to reading past Chaos Effect for bloodshot as my issues are flat out mint. I normally wouldn't care but they look so pretty.BloodOfHeroes wrote:And, so the voices in my head will stop chattering, v2's take on it:

The VanHook issues are pretty much based in science (in an universe where you accept Harbingers, alien tech and advanced nanotech to begin with, that is). Moretti stepped up the action and espionage angle and dovetailed it all nicely into what had come before in his NINJAK work.*SQUEE* wrote:Is this Valiant still? The second volume is Acclaim's "Valiant Heroes" universe and one of the best series--tale and art--ever produced. Well worth acquiring a full run, IMO.
