New here: This is my Valient/Acclaim story

Post by Turok:The Dinosaur Hunter »

Hello, i'm new here. And don't be hatin that i also collected Accliam comics,ok? 8-)

For me, It was the Turok comics. When i was small, i went into the comic section of a book store. Thats where i saw Turok:Dinosaur Hunter comics, but only one left since it was during when Valient was shutting down. I didn't get it cuz i was 10 and my parents thought i was too small for it, since it was pretty violent for me cuz of my age. When i turned 12, i saw a statue of the Accliam Turok, Joshua Fireseed , fighting a Raptor :) I thought it was cool and wanted to buy it. But sadley, they didn't. I forgot all about it when i turned 14(now). And when i heared about the upcoming Turok game, memories instantlly flooded to my mind. and finaly i said..... HOLY MOOCOW THE COMICS!!! and so finally i began my jorney, collecting Turok comics and videogames. I only have 5 issues of Turok and one Acclaim issue. Then i started to collect X-O issues too. I only buy those comics, since they are very interesting.

Now i'm very mad   :!: becouse i can't get as many Turok comics. So i sent Valient Ent. a message if they are rerelasing Turok comics! U KNOW WHAT THEY SAID....NOOO! THEY ARE NOT GOING TO RERELEASE THE TUROK COMICS.

I just hope they will change thier minds about it since, after all, the very first issue of Turok:Dinosaur Hunter sold more then 1 million copies!!! Plus with the new Turok fans cuz of the new game, i think they might release it, i don't know. We just have to hope!

It's not that VEI doesn't want to print Turok books. It's just that they don't hold the rights to do so anymore. Same with Magnus and Solar.

The first 25 or so Turok comics will be both easy and cheap to get.

Watch eBay or throw out a want list here. You'd be surprised what you can get for 25 cents a book plus shipping.

For X-O, from about issue 7 to 40 or so fall into the same catergory.

The Turok reprints aren't as simple as deciding whether or not to reprint. Turok, Magnus and Solar are owned by another company.

I honestly doubt we will ever see Valiant reprints of the GK characters. I just don't think it would be to their benefit to do so when, as Chiclo pointed out, the books can still be purchased for little of nothing on ebay.

Look for auctions that take check or money order or post up a thread here saying you want to buy those issues but can only pay with check or money order.

Probably not since Dark Horse now has the rights to use the characters.

WHAT!!!
! I can't believe it!! Well i hope they don't screw it up. I still think if Turok were in the Valient hands...it would have been better of with Valient.
Oh and does anyone have any Turok comics that they don't want or somethin. And if u find some at a cheap price, please TELL ME. :thumb:

Contributions to the "Get The Gold Key Three!" campaign can be made to me at my PayPal account, at slym2none@hotmail.com.

I will try my best to get all donations out to Dino and company to help sway the minds of GK/Random House to let VEI use it's characters again!

VEI & GoldKey/Random House do not endorse this campaign, as "Get The Gold Key Three!" is a figment of slym's imagination.

U know i have a cool comic idea, TUROK:Aliens vs Predator!!!
They made one with Magnus vs Predator, so why not Turok Joshua and Aliens be in one! I preffer Joshua to be in the story but it could have Tal'Set in issue #0 of my dream comic!

I think Dark Horse would be inclined to do something like that.

Turok is a big enough character that some company will make new comics so dont worry, he's been around since probably before your dad was born.

That's a lot nicer than my copy.

(Side note for our new friend Turok - that is Dell Four Color #596, the first appearance of Turok in 1954)
