Who or what was The Outcast?

i know this! i know this! oh oh pick me!
the outcast was this great big alien. he crash landed on earth. he was near death. be fore he died he transfered his biological essence into a monkey...later he ends up in this great big guy. the guy was a deaf mute or something. well i remember he couldn't read. when the alien guy came out and kind of possessed him he could read and stuff. i'm sure they must have had other plans for this character, because nothing major happens in this book.

The writer had big plans. Also I believe the indice (sp?) of the comic does not say it's a one-shot. That was probably decided late (instead of making it an on-going series).

I am glad about what you say because I dreaded that it might be DR Eclipse ! An alien sounds great to me !

Thinking of which, I was soooo... disapointed to find out in the end that the Visitor was an earthling.

The Visitor was ALL hype and along with the Harbinger was a whack concept.

I was shooting for the Visitor to have been the Map Giver in X-O #0 (yes, Bob Layton did say it was meant to be Elvis)

I was even hoping that Ivar (Timewalker) was the Map Giver.

But when the Visitor and the Harbinger were revealed, I was like

Okaaaaaaaaaaay now

I dont have the final issue of the visitor, but wasnt the visitor and the harbinger the same person, but displaced through time? I am sure who the harbinger was just am trying not to list it as I dont want to spoil anyone who is reading.
