A very small HeroesCon update...

I didn't get a chance to do very much shopping so I don't how fair an example of the entire HeroesCon for '08 this will be, but...

I saw one table with Valiant stuff.

Let me give you the items in question, the prices being asked, and let's see if your reaction is in line with the one I had.

Ready?

Unity #0...$10.00 (Just a regular, normal old Unity #0)
Unity #1...$10.00 (Same as above)
Unity #1 Gold...$30.00
Unity #1 Platinum...$50.00
Set of Unity Issues...$45.00
Set of Chaos Effect Issues...$50.00

And then on the opposite end of the spectrum, the guy actually had the following...

Magnus #1-4...$30.00
Rai #1-4...$30.00
X-O Manowar #1-6...$40.00

And now, the capper that'll make everyone freak out...

He told me he had a Harbinger #1 CGC'ed at 9.8 that he sold on Friday for...$400.00

So as you can tell...the dealer in question had prices FAAAARRR above normal. $45 for a Unity run, how about $4.50 instead? And I nearly *SQUEE* my pants when I saw what he wanted for those Chaos Effect issues.

But then I thought the Magnus, Rai, and X-O prices were reasonable...I wasn't looking for them, but I didn't think those were bad prices.

But the kicker was selling the Harbinger 9.8 for $400 when that book's selling on eBay in the neighborhood of $2000.

I have had dealers tell me that they have Harbinger 1 gold, Harbinger 0 gold, etc. Sometimes they remain adamant even when I exist that such things do not exist.
