San Diego Valiant Dinner & Game Night (?)

So....I suppose, since I have the biggest mouth, and a knack for these kinds of things, I'm a natural to try and coordinate this get together.

Anyone have any preferences? I believe the hotel BTE, Dr. Solar, and I are staying at is very close to the Convention Center, so I think setting up a game situation would be very easy.

Of course, there are tons of places to go eat, including a Black Angus, which isn't that far.

Any preferences as to what night? Friday, Saturday? Thursday? BTE and I will be there from Thursday afternoon through Sunday AM, and would love to have company at any point.

Dinner? Texas Hold 'em? Anything?

So far;

Thursday, July 24 - after the con, 5-6 ish, we'll make our way to wherever hotel we're gonna meet, and order pizza, soda, salads, whatever. Texas Hold 'em, tourney style, for the night.

Friday, July 25 - after the con, dinner at someplace nice-ish. I recommend Black Angus by the Motel 6.

In for Thursday:

Zeph
BTE
Dr. Solar
Elveen
Rufus
Blood of Heroes
Kikit (?)
Mota (?)

That's actually probably the limit for the game. Too many people in one game makes things difficult, unless we want to hold two different games concurrently.

Friday dinner, we'll just pick something, and if people show up, great, if not, that's cool too. Dr. and BTE are good enough company by themselves.

Oh, and an important note: if any of you who are coming are thinking of NOT joining everyone because I'm going to be there, don't. I have other things (not "better", just "other") that I could be doing at that time, and don't need to be there if it's going to prevent other people from getting together and having fun.

I have no issue with this, so you should have no issue with this. If it's a problem, I have plenty of other places to be so as not to spoil the fun for everyone else.

Besides....I'm a pretty fun guy in person, for the most part.

But send an anonymous PM to Dr. Solar or BTE if you have an issue with me being there, and I won't be there, and I won't ask who. Simple as cake.

Wait a sec....you're going to coordinate but might not show up because members have problems with you? Personally, if anyone does have issues with another member they should let it slide for this big ol' get together, imho.

As far as ZWH, I've never had any issues with him online and if I did, I wouldn't mind meeting him in person anyway. Luckily, I've had that pleasure and it was well worth it and then some. If anyone is plan not to attend because of ZWH or any other member, they should reconsider because they'll be missing out. Now if your problems stem from your wife cheating w/ ZephyrWasHOT!!, you can throw everything I wrote out the door.

Yeah I'm sure Poker Night will be Thursday

The Hotel isn't That close to the convention center it's like 3-4 miles...sorry if someone has a room closer we can just have the game there....Anyone?

I say we get some pizza and then buckle down to some serious cards. Pizza is good cause you can have some for dinner and then some for a snack later.
