SDCC Schedule
So I see that there is a preview night Wed July 23rd.
What is this?
Will all of the vendors be already set up and open for business. I would love to scour the cheap bins early and often.
I am gonna find that GBU.
Or do the vendors wait until Thurs to be set?
Can anyone who has gone before fill me in.
Also, I'd imagine that Sat is the most crowded day. Can I get some perspectives on staying unitl Sunday.
I am trying to decide when to go. I don't think I will be able to go all 4 (5 counting preview night) days. But I am planning to go.
Summer School ends that Thurs. so I am trying to decided if I am just going to go down Fri-Sat, or maybe Thurs-Fri, or what.
Any coments would be appriciated. thanks.

Preview night is a chance for you to get a jump on the rest....Thats for sure.
If you purchase a full weekend badge then Preview night is free.
Usually starts at 6pm till about 9pm. Depends on the dealer if you plan on going through all there boxes. Since there arn't that many comic retailers anymore most have there boothes open but some don't.
Sat. is flat out crazy but funny thing last year happened Sat was hyped SO much about being sold out and going to be SO busy that many people did stay away. Friday IMO was busier last year then Sat.

No matter what day you go, don't forget to stop by as many publisher and studio booths as you can to pick up as many free goodies as you can.Elveen wrote:So I see that there is a preview night Wed July 23rd.

Publishers give away posters, pins, and even free comics, while studios give away other kind of stuff, like bags to carry your purchases in and even comics too (depending on what they're promoting).
Last year, the WB booth gave away giant orange Superman bags, while the Heroes booth gave away a free comic.
At the Marvel booth you had to sign up to receive a free comic and let the girls that were handing it out punch a hole in your badge (they do that so people don't double dip).
At the DC booth you have to get in line to pick up free posters, comics, and pins.
The Image booth also gave away some free stuff.
The Scifi Channel booth gave away smaller bags to carrry your stuff and a free comic preview of their Tin Man mini series.
