I'm sure your reference to the "Loafs" was not intentional.... then again, with their last three seasons, it's kinda accurate.....xodacia81 wrote:If it wasn't right in the middle of finals and I wasn't broke, I'd see about maybe crossing over the border and looking around. Sounds like a nice selection of guests. Who knows, maybe I could even catch a Loafs game, if the regular season is still on.

The Laughs, er, loafs...um...Leafs, yeah, that's it. Yep, them. Those guys, the ones in blue with the...Maple Leaf. Honestly, I like all the Original 6 teams-even Chicago, after a fashion-and wish them health. The NHL can't survive without those 6 markets having healthy teams and yes, the last three seasons have only been bearable once a week during intermissions..gotta love Don & Ron. Good luck next year.

I work for the Illitches.
My Lidstrom Jersey is old school, so it still has the A.
I can do a litany of back up goalies who should have been the starter.
(for those who dont know the greatest jobs in the city of Detroit are Lions Back-up QB and Wings Back-up goalie.) Every often assumes you are better than the guy starting...
But yeah the Leafs, how does a team in the heart of Canada just have so little talent. Its akin to the knicks being lousy, which also befuddles me. Oh well they completly wasted Mats Sundin through the 90's and this decade. They are going to have a rough rebuilding period sooner rather than later.

START ORLOVSKY(sp)...Joking. But, honestly, I think the Wings have had very solid-not SPECATACULAR-goaltending in recent years. This, along with-until last year, Babcock's second year-a lack of effort since winning the 2002 Stanley Cup, have contributed to the pressure on finding a BETTER goalie. Also, it doesn't help that Jiggy, Kipper and Rolly all played out of their gourds when we faced them. I don't blame Cujo-I was there at game 5 v. Calgary, where he matched Kipper save for save until the final shot-and I didn't blame DOM last year. We simply keep getting wasted by a better team and I console myself that in the last four years, the team that beat us either got to the finals and went 7 games or won the whole thing. No shame in loosing to a champion. As for the Leafs...Sundin deserves/ed better. I still need a Lids jersey...ncameron wrote:I work for the Illitches.
