Various CGC Books for sale

Post by ZephyrWasHOT!! »

Hey there....so, here's the books for sale. If they don't get picked up here, off to feeBay they'll go.

The cases are new and SCUFF FREE, as well as shaken case syndrome free, as they've traveled a grand total of 12 miles from the Los Angeles Convention Center in my personal possession since being slabbed.

They'll be packed to arrive to you in the same way.

Iron Fist #15 35 cent variant CGC 6.5 - $200

Next Men #21 CGC 9.8 - $250 (you know what'll happen when the flick gets closer.)

X-Men #99 CGC 8.5 - $75

X-Men #137 CGC 9.6 - $100

Amazing Spiderman #300 CGC 9.8 - $1000

Primer #2 CGC 9.8 - $1000 (yeah, I know, but it's one of 7 on the census, and a copy hasn't sold in TWO YEARS!)

Miracleman #15 CGC 9.4 - $160

Danger Girl #1 Chromium CGC 9.8 - $200

Spiderman #1 Chromium CGC 9.8 - $250

Albedo #2 CGC 9.0 (this book is SIGNED on the inside front cover by Steve Gallaci) - $1000

As an incentive....instead of paying eBay (why do they need it?) I'm offering the following: 5% of every sale goes to Greg and the upkeep of the website. That's a boatload more than eBay will get, especially for, say, Amazing #300 which will net Greg $50.00 if it sells. eBay's FVF would be a little less than $37.

That's potentially several hundred bucks for the site. :)

It's the least I can do, since I get this advertising and sales space for free, and I'd be paying the fees anyways.

Whatever doesn't sell here goes to feeBay....and maybe I'll get lucky. ;) Lots of these books haven't sold in a long while, and the cases being fresh and scratch free, as well as SCS free, probably has a benefit.

Anyhoo....there you go.

Thanks!

Right on. Ive already told myself that Greg would get a % of anything I sell on here. But....I dont sell, for now.
Next Men #21 CGC 9.8 - $250 (you know what'll happen when the flick gets closer.)
A steal. High was $402, and avg $283 for 9.8 sells according to the third ed. standard, and that was years ago. Someone should grab that :p

Saw one of these at CGC 9.8 for $444 something on the Bay. So...clue me in Zeph, why the big difference in price.

Sure that wasn't the Chromium version? The original 9.8's are worth much more.

If it wasn't the chromium, that was a steal but if you saw it on ebay, I doubt it.

Those prices are pretty good and cheaper than what I've seen on ebay . . .

I'm tempted by the Miracleman 15 . . but I'm saving for a statue . . . :|

The Chromium 9.8 sold for $414.99 twice, once on Mar 8 (320224082600), and another in February.

This of course is not the Chromium, but the original, plucked from the stands of his LCS in February-March of 1988 by a friend of mine.

The highest price paid for this book in this grade was $1,725, back in Nov of 06. One copy sold for $1200 in Sept, one for $1050 in November, and one for $1038 in Jan.

Of course, who knows if those books are actually still 9.8s. ;)

There is not currently a 9.8 on eBay, nor has there been since at least Mar 7.

If these books don't sell here, I plan on doing a blitz on eBay, with these very high profile books all at once, Featured listings, the works. If I get someone looking for a Primer #2 or Albedo, they'll see the Spideys, etc.

Usually, when these are sold, they're in onesies or twosies, so they don't necessarily get the exposure they should. A blitz should get me the eyeballs I need. I could potentially set new records.

There hasn't been a sale of the original in 9.8 that low since 1/03.

I found a CGC 9.8 Amazing #300 for sale in a store...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Amazing-Spiderman-3 ... dZViewItem

It's $300 higher than what I'm offering, and it's the only one currently for sale. AND it's from CANADA! Brrrrr!

Just as an FYI...;)

Oh my stars and garters-

That is ridiculously low considering a beat up copy (or near mint according to certain unscrupulous eBay sellers) sold for just 30.00 bucks less last week.

Oh I do so hope my government sanctioned economic stimulus check gets here soon.

That is an amazing set of books for sale Z.

Very nice price on the Miracleman, ZWH! :thumb:

If any of these fit into my collection, I'd want at least a half dozen of them. ;)

It's ok....this is a Valiant crowd, after all...:)

I've got some more books I can list, and if I use the Featured auction for, say, the Primer, the Spidey #300, and/or the Albedo #2, I'll get a LOT of eyeballs....and could get some spectacular results, because of the nature of the books I'm listing.
