Anyone have a scan of BWS's autograph?

Post by Dr. Solar »

I got a copy of Archer&Armstrong 0 that was either signed by Barry Windsor Smith, or scribbled on. I don't have a scan with me, but I might be able to get one tomorrow. The scribble is completely undecipepherable as any word, but it looks like 3 wiggly lines.

I would hope that this is an autograph, and not just somebody scribbling on this book.

Anyone have any pics of a book he signed handy?

That sounds about right: Lazy + Drunk = BWS autograph.

I found this sample online using my google-fu:
Image

The scribble on my book is like this, except three lines.

I hope this is promising. I'll add scans soon.

When I first bought it, I didn't realize there was anything on the cover. Then I saw it and thought it might be a signature! Neat! Then the "signature" was illegible, and I thought maybe it was a scribble. Boo! Now I think it Might be BWS's autograph!

That must make this book worth lots, huh?!

Well, if it IS a BWS autograph on the book, I don't think it is something that will make the book more valuable. I am just trying to figure out if I have a book that someone scribbled on, or if it is a book Barry Windsor Smith scribbled on.
