Shadowman Vol. 3 # 1

Post by epowe10097 »

Hello all, just a quick question if I may. In Armorines (Vol. 2) # 2 in the back in a section called "acclaim's think tank" it is stated that "To date over 175,000 copies of Shadow Man Volume 3 issue # 1 have been distributed across the United States." Is this a different book than the # 1 issue listed with only 4,800 copies? If so, what book are they talking about? One that come with a video game or something? I just found it weird when I read that. Eddie

I believe TWT answered that at some point already. Let me look around for it... :thumb:

That may be the issue that was released with gaming magazines and such. That's the only way those kind of numbers could ever be justified, IMO.

Yes, thanks for the help. But just to be clear; which book on the valiant issues site is the one that has 142,000 or so copies printed? Thanks again, Eddie

No idea to be honest. I don't believe any of the V3 Shadowman books were distributed anywhere near that print number. If I had to guess I'd say:

http://www.valiantcomics.com/valiant/issue.asp?cn=1296

The site lists it as a V2 book because its contents are from the the V2 preview book, but the release date is '98 & it has a v3 cover. I highly doubt that book came in quantity anywhere near 142k either, but it was distributed with the PC versions of a couple Acclaim games. Hope that helps somewhat. :thumb: ~Pete
