Heroclix
Is there anybody else that collects this cool little figures? My nephew and I just started to get into them.We are pretty much just trying collect the figures, but not try to play the game itself.I love my nephew to death and I wanted to do something with him and he suggested Heroclix would be fun.Is there anybody else into them also?

I've got two sets of Infinity Challenge and one of Armor Wars. I've never played the game, but the sets are cool to put together. For the most part now though I only pick up any Iron Man related ones I need. I've got a LOT of doubles and so on and so forth if you want to work out a trade or even take some off my hands, I'd be glad to help you out.
In general though, they are cool miniatures. The molds seem to get better to with every generation.

I have a sick, sick addiction to these things. Owning a store just makes it worse because I use them as comfort: "Oh man, did today ever suck. OOoohh, Heroclix! I'll open a pack, that's make me feel better." Then ten minutes later the shelf is cleared add I sit among the carnage of a dozen shredded cardboard boxes and tiny figures .
I love the new Mutations and Monsters set cause it has so many obscure characters in it. Devil Dinosaur and Moonboy is my current favorite figure. Devil Dinosaur's tail moves! I am really easily amused.

That Starro is badical. I am looking for either or both of the Galactus figures (Galacti? Galactusi? Galactuses? Galactaloses?) and and past of current heralds. I do have the Dark Phoenix convention figure, but that's about it. I do have a lot of Mage Knight figures, but I never learned to play that either.

I saw the Galacatus-or one of them-when I got my latest deal last night. I am so glad I haven't gotten in HC. I'd never have any money...they look so sweet.JohnnyRnR wrote:That Starro is badical. my local flea market sells these things for 50 cents to a dollar, and my comic book guy usually gives me a couple of free ones here and there. I really like them, the game is pretty cool, even though I've only played 2 games, if that. I'm trying for just avengers, but end up getting any that I think look awesome... which is a lot. I can't find the hulk with the tattered shirt, i think that one's awesome....
but these things can get expensive, my gf bought me a Thor figure for $14

. .so I did a little research . . . and these things are kind of cool . . (the prices are all the most expensive sold)
Starro Attacks set (sold for $260)

Pheonix set - Dark & Reg (sold for $237.50)

Galactus (sold for $200)

Zombie Hulk (sold for $150)

and I saw this :

. . I have decided that I will not start this . . . as I believe it would drive me insane . . .

I have bought some hoping my son (a very precocious 4 year old) could play with me. I have simplified the rules quite a bit, and we both have fun if the games don't last long. We only have DC Hypertime figures as they are the cheapest I have found. He always gets to have Supes on his team
.
I can see where this could get really addictive if you had regular partners to play against. The collectibility side is not where I have spent any time. I have too many distractions as it is from the titles I am collecting
