Question on the Valiant creators attending the NY 2007 conv.
Saw the Valiant guest list for the NY Nov comic con which includes:
Alana Zdinak

Andrew Covalt
Bernard Chang
Bob Hall
Bob Layton (tent)
Bob McLeod (sat/sun)
Bob Wiacek
Brent Erwin (Ape Entertainment/Publisher)
Charles Barnett III
Chrysoula Artemis Gomez
Dennis Calero
Derek Santiago
Elim Mak
Erin Finnegan
Friedlander
Grace Lu
Howard Simpson
Jeff Gomez
Jim Calafiore
Jimmy Palmiotti
John Cebellero
John Hunt
Ken Branch
Lee Stacy
MAC
Maria Beccari
Mark Csazar
Matt Gasser
Michael Cavallaro
Mike Leeke
Mike McGuire
Norm Breyfogle
Peter Palmiotti (tent)
Ryan McLelland (newsarama)
Sean Chen

Valerie D'Orazio
Yvel Guichet
My question is I have not asked for autographs at the convention before but want to do so in this one. From experience could someone go through the list and say which creators will sign for free and which charge. Also which ones will be willing to do a sketch and if they charge for it. Anyone can share their experience with these creators. I know that certain creator like BWS do not want to sign Valiant stuff, I want to avoid creators like that:)

I don't think anyone charges to sign stuff, with the exception of certain media guests (David Prowse, for one)
As far as sketches, I haven't dealt with anyone on that list, so I don't know.
I know that Sean Chen and Bernard Chang charge for sketches, but the work I've seen them put into con sketches is well worth it.

None of these guys will charge for signing a book, or books pretty much, but they I don't think any of them will do a formal sketch for free except for special cases like Knightt for the CF thing. If one of the guys isn't busy you can probably get a remark though.
You'll find that the VALIANT guys are a great bunch of guys and they look back fondly at their time at the company, it's pretty much like a reunion for them in some respects. I have found that these guys (and ladies) really appreciate our continued interest in their work.
