What happens in these books:
X-O Manowar/Iron Man #1
Iron Man/X-O Manowar #1
I have had several people tell me they are VH1 books, others tell me they are really VH2 books and still others tell me that this ties VH1 into VH2.
Someone please help clarify this for me.
thanks
Jonathan

It would be pretty hard to classify them as VH2 since the man in the X-O armour is Aric of Dacia, the dude from VH1.
It does act as the bridge between the two VHs.

I classify those issues to be a complete waste of time.

I concur, the story(if you want to call it that), is so incoherent, I can't make it half-way through Part 1 without getting a headache.

Also shows Rand Banion and Tony Stark in the VH2 armor.

Yep, one of several attempts at bridging the two. As Chiclo says, the characters are almost only VH1 (and Marvel). When the dust settles, we see something that could be a VH2 scenario.

The only reason to own these books is to complete your run and keep them away from impressionable children. Not that I believe in censorship, just that I believe kids should not be exposed to toxic waste.

This crossover was Fabian's way of creating VH-2, just as X-O #68 was (seemingly) Bob Layton's way of doing the same thing.
In both, at the end of the respective takes, we have a different series of events occurring in 408, leading to a new world, which we now call VH-2.

Missed this question. Anyway, these issues end with Aric finding an XO pod in 408. Since VH2 was like that, it could be a VH2 scenario, especially as we earlier in the issue have seen a pod behave more like the VH2 pods than the VH1 pods (bonding with a bearer).
