I went last year. It's not worth the admission ($10), con center parking ($7), gas there ($20+), etc.

Thanks for the info. So you'd wait for Megacon? That one's expensive too. I'd like to go to these, but I don't want to waste my time/money though.

I've been to the last couple of Megacons. They're even more expensive but at least theres a bit of a spectacle. That Orlando con was just a straight con with no real bargains. You probably get better deals at a hotel con in Tampa.

they still do cons in hotels down there? I remember going to hotel cons in the ft. myers/cape coral area way back in the early 90's...I found them to be quite laughable...

Yeah, they are laughable. It's always the same dealers there. I like to go through the bargain bins to look for stuff to read mainly. It's about the only place to find $.25 books around here.
