Ebay prices!

Post by cjv »

I have just been watching a few auctions. Is it just me, or are prices going up across the board?

I just saw Unity 2000 #3 sell for $60! Wow.

At these prices, I have given up being able to complete my collection, since I only need the more expensive things now.

Yeah, right now is not a good time to try and get certain issues. I look for more of the later Acclaim issues to rise in price as well. 60 bucks still seems awful high for that one though.

Just wait till VEI starts putting out books on a regular basis, they'll go up even more.

That would certainly be a feat to have all of them back to their peak prices.

What kills me is I bought my #3 about 4 months ago and I got it for around 5 bucks and no one bid against me. Ebay is weird like that if you watch it all the time you can get a real steal.

Somtimes they slip through the cracks and you get a bargain. An Armorines #4 just sold for 100 bucks, but a couple of months ago I think one went off for $20.

I was 'watching' (i.e., was at work when they ended) a few Rai #3 auctions on eBay, not one of them sold for more than $16... and these all ended last night. Could NFL football really have that much effect on eBay auction's ending prices???

:hm:

What other Acclaim/Valiant titles have been going up in value? I have some extra books sitting around that I would not mind unloading.

I think the last Valiant Heroes Special went for around 200.

In the past 6 weeks or so, I have sold 3 Rai #3's, not a one of them "centered" (although they were all at least 9.0) and I got $25 for the cheapest one, and that was a sale to a board member! My eBay auctions, I think $32 was the lowest price...
