I would think those auctions would help VEI make their case in court. The general comic populace is getting VEI & vip confused.

I contacted mr_c_comics and he said the VIP meant Very Important Person (WTF?!?!? does this mean - I don't know).

So I then decided to pursue this because if you look at his other auctions - he is selling the VIP ashcan too. Well I went off on him then and told him that he basically supports a crooked, piece of crap no-name company and asked him why he is doing this (and at the same time selling the Harby HC) - when inquiring about the book and all this, he says:

"I am actually looking forward to VIP's Ninjak. I sell this for the same reason I sell everything; to make a living. These ashcans have actually sold very well for me and I know a LOT of people who are actually excited about seeing the properties from VIP, myself included. With talking with one of the owners of VIP, I felt that he/she was very excited about their plans for these characters. I am 42 years old and have been collecting comics since 1971 when my father got me hooked on Conan. I have seen many comic companies come and go. I do not think VIP is going anywhere anytime soon. This is just my personal opinion."

Then - after I decided to argue some more - he has the nerve to tell me this:

"I highly suggest you pick one up as I believe that these books will NOT be available much longer. I am holding on to my remaining copies. As much as everyone feels like defending VEI (or the Kothari Group) I would bet that they did not have the rights to use Solar in this book, and I think that the owners of Solar will probably want this book destroyed. According to the newsarama forum Classic Media currently owns the rights to all things involving "Solar". I don't know if this is correct, but seeing it is no longer "live" on amazon.com lends me to believe that SOMETHING is going on."

This guy is a hoot - he says he TALKED WITH THE OWNER(s) OF VIP AND THAT THEY ARE EXCITED ABOUT THEIR PLANS FOR THESE CHARACTERS (probably cause they think they will be able to blackmail VEI for some cash - fukin wankers).

Tried - he wouldn't/couldn't dish out a name - I don't believe he talked to anyone from VIP unless it was a runner boy pushing ashcans for Lovitz.

I wouldn't doubt that he knows someone with vip even if it is only as a contact.

I had a slight dialogue going with this guy, then called him just that, "Mr. Graham Crackers Comics," and he never replied to me again, basically acted as if I never existed.
