Mota said in another thread that Bob was there today. Not sure but I would imagine he will be around all weekend and at the Valiant panel on friday.

Hmm, I wonder if Bob will sign any of my stuff? I have always wanted to meet the guy as he created some of my favorite stuff ever in comics.

I hope so. I don't want him to think I am pushy.

Bob is a great guy. I'm sure he will be more than happy to sign some books for you.

I've never been to a con that size, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I'd go as far to say that the creators probably expect it.

speaking of Bob Hall, here's an item I have signed by him. I've never met Bob, but the story behind this is that there is a dealer who does a lot of Midwest shows, and he mainly deals in bargain boxes. Several here know him, his name is Alan. Anyway, since I've been looking for VALIANT books in his boxes for years, he knows I will buy just about any oddball VALIANT item. At another show Alan attended, Bob Hall was a guest, so he presented him with an issue of Shadowman and had him sign it for me. I had no idea he had done this until the next time he came to Milwaukee and presented me with the book. The funniest thing is he wanted me to BUY the book! Since the guy had this done specifically for me, I paid for it, but I thought it was kind of...ballsy to present me with a book signed personalized to me and then expect me to pay for it. It's not like if I had not bought that he would have been able to sell it to anyone else (well, maybe Myron if he ever ran into him!)

Anyway, the pic is below, the inscription reads "To the biggest VALIANT fan in the land of Cheese-Heads, Bob Hall"

Very interesting, BrotherJ! And yes, a nice gesture and a ballsy move all in one on that dealer's part.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I was very impressed with Bob Hall's demeanor on the Valiant Panel. The Harbinger cover print was pretty awesome too!

Maybe the actual books were supposed to be a surprise bonus.
