Okay, so Galactus is borderline.

Thanos hasn't been a full-on villain since the Infinity Gauntlet. Mystique was with the X-Men until last issue and is a former member of X-Factor (I don't believe she really defected; it's a swerve). Ronan the Accuser... must avoid Annihilation Conquest spoilers, but he was quite the hero in Annihilation. Juggernaut is a former X-Man and is in the New Excalibur. Baron Zemo was a Thunderbolt and is on his path to absolution.

Sinners make the greatest saints.

In answer (until I change it the next time), right now they are:

1. Captain America
2. Iron Fist
3. the Falcon
4. Hawkeye
5. Spider-man
6. Iceman
7. Black Panther
8. Atlas
9. Daredevil
10. Night Thrasher (yep...it's true)

Cap is always #1, the rest change. It isn't even necessarily based on books I am reading either.

Daredevil
Cyclops
Madrox
Spiderman
Captain America
Nightcrawler
Kitty Pryde
Iron Man
Jean Grey

Some names that could have made the list, Quicksilver, Black Widow, hell... Ben Urich aren't up there because, much as I like 'em they're not, strictly speaking heroes.

And before recently Cap and Iron Man would not have made that list. Marvel have really made some of their big names interesting of late byt I still don't really care about the F4.

I loved Rom as a kid. The Mike Golden covers on the first several issues didn't hurt either. :thumb:

I thought PAD's Hulk was excellent. I never gave a hoot about the Hulk until PAD started writing him. I'm curious to see what PAD's going to do with She-Hulk.

It looks like you're a fan of "street level" characters. I am too, although I do like "cosmic" characters as well.
My favorite "street level" characters are Cap, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Nightwing, Robin III and Black Panther.

I used to think this too until I actually picked up a Rom book and then another and another...well, you get the idea.
BTW, here's a cool article on Rom if you're interested. It's the first of a three parter:

I don't know about street level per se, I just feel that these are the character's I like best from 'knowing' though good writing. Actually I amy have to swap out Iceman (who is a great everyman chacter) for Luke Cage.
