Yeah, I wouldn't pay a whole bunch for the Milestone platinum books. They seem to be fairly common, as I have at least 3 or 4 Static Plats and have gotten them on the cheap.

Is there more than one platinum cover for Static 1? I have seen a couple listed on ebay? One is listed for almost all and the other in only one listing (it is a price marked cover).
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

I assume you might be talking about this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/STATIC-1993-MILESTO ... dZViewItem

The comic pictured is not a Static Platinum, it's the "newsstand variant" edition. The weird thing is I doubt the variant was actually sold at newsstands, because there is no UPC code on the cover.

The seller, Joe K., has a HUGE inventory and is known to make a lot of mistakes in his listings. He probably does have the platinum, but just used the wrong picture. I sure wouldn't pay $24 for it, though! :o

I finally figured out the big difference between the newsstand editions and the direct editions, aside from different covers...the price. The newsstand editions are all priced at $1.50, while the direct editions are priced at $2.95.

That could be helpful information to be added when Knightt adds the stickied issue list. :thumb:
