X-Men Age of Apocalypse Series...

Post by Stinger »

I'm trying to re-collect entire X-Men Age of Apocalpyse. I have almost completed the set, but here are the couple questions:

1) Is X-Man on-going series is part of Age of Apocalypse? (I hope not, otherwise that'll be too much to collect)

2) How would you start to read the whole set? Do I have to read Astonishing X-Men #1-4, then Weapon X#1-4, etc or read every #1 first then every #2, etc.?

AofA is one of the best storylines I've ever read out of X-men, I wouldn't mind to re-read them again one night.

X-Man starts in AoA, but he gets tossed into the "616" universe at the end of AoA. So, you don't have to have all of them, unless you want to.

Although I read them all as they came out, that was because I bought them when they came out! Looking back, I would read each series in it's entirety, there really isn't a whole lot of crossover between the titles. Just start with Alpha, end with Omega, and you'll be just fine.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Good advice, and I enjoyed all of those series as well.

A friend of mine brought these over out of the blue a couple of years ago. I had been out of collecting comics for a long time and this series is part of what got me to go home and get all of my comics from my folks house. I really enjoyed AoA and having some of the traditionally "good guys" be bad and vice versa was a nice touch.

This was really the beginning of the end of good X-men stories for me. Great series. Everything afterwards has been forgettable
