Hey cinlach, I'd love to see a picture of your visitor standup as well. The armorines one rocks!

Was there not an XO standup at one time? I'd love to have one of those if they exist.

Wow. That does look cool and I'm not even an Armorine fan! Is this a stand that was made by Valiant? I've never seen Valiant stands but I the comic shops in my area are kinda small, mom-and-pop sorta stores.

This is a Valiant stand up made in 94 I believe. Maybe cinlach can shed a little light on this, but I was curious. There are three purpose holes punched on the waist of the armorine. I'm wondering if this display was used to hold comics and I'm missing the piece that would do so.

What do you think cinlach?

Does anyone know how many different Valiant stands were made and what characters (images) are on them?

as far as i know there were only 2 made, the armorines and the visitor.
they were originally meant to hold books as a display. i bought my armorines real cheap a couple of years ago and got the visitor from the comic shop i worked at.
i'll trade to get my webcam working so i can snap a pic for you guys.
i'm in south carolina by the way.

so there's no love for the visitor??
lol
i think it's pretty kickass myself...we had it up in the store in '94 and i called that sucker right off the bat.
i really dig bernard's artwork and i think that's what i like the most about it.
anyone care to comment?

Looks cool to me...
if the ceilings were high enough, it would be neat to put it where
the heads of the crowd at the bottom of the standee were about
head-height for the customers.

i don't have the comic holder attachments for either standee.
i know the visitor wasn't nearly as cool as he could've been...no offense to mr. vanhook of course, but i always really loved bernard's artwork.

I had the Visitor one down in my man-cave and sold it at a garage sale to some neighborhood kid who didn't have even the slightest inkling who the Visitor was. I was moving to NM from Chicagoland and didn't want to take that giant beast with me. I have to admit I like the Armorine one much better than the Visitor.
