Ok, so Phil made the Valiant U, right??

Did he make the Lost Land? Did he make the Spider Aliens?? Was this all in his subconscious?

What do you guys think? This may have been discussed before... not sure..

Sure, it's been discussed. It always gives interesting views and never the final answer.

The Lost Land is called "the eye of the storm" in a whirl-wind of alternative time-lines. Both the Lost Land itself and time-lines seem to be stable areas within "unreality". The Valiant universe is refered to as a place where time is warped and has twisted reality into a psychotic fantasy. Only in the Lost Land does time follow an absolute direction.

It's not clear how much of this Phil did. Did he just add one more twist or did he set up the whole whirl-wind? Did he change his world or create a new? His reactor was a wishing-machine, but it wasn't until he created a black hole that he could punch through to another reality. My theory would be that some kind of area with absolute time always has existed and that Phil did not create the Lost Land. Also, the end of the Chaos Effect suggests that the Lost Land became stable then.

Either way it seems very centered around Earth. Both the contents of the Lost Land and the abilities of the Geomancers suggest that. So I would say that whatever Phil did, had no or little influence on the Spider Aliens.

Was it in Phil's subconscious? Something sure was. The message is very clear that everything is in our minds.

Personally I think he wished for an Earth where the human mind played a bigger role and his wishing machine helped him find such a world. In his subconscious the ability to correct mistakes in history was important and viola, a world where Geomancers can feel the history and future of objects and subtly effect which of all alternative realities that will be dominant. But did Phil actually create the Geomancers? I wonder.

Even though it is not exactly our world, the Valiant universe is still based on science. There is no fundamental need to explain miracles. There is no need for magic. So I see no need to make too much out of Phil making the Valiant universe. My 2 cents.

IMO, when the black hole destroyed our reality, Phil recreated it from scratch, but with subtle alterations that allowed for people like the Gemoancers, Gilad and Aram, harbingers, etc. The "real" world was Phils universe that got destroyed - it was recreated as Valiant's universe.

I dont' think it was a conscious thing, but we already know how much Phil was influenced by comic books. Plus he was a scientist. So he recreated a world that was still based in science, but has comic book elements subconsciously.

In effect, he rewrote the origina and history of the universe, and "jumped in" at the place where he left the old one. The rewriting was done in a subtle way, so MOST things still stayed the same.

Now, as for things like spider aliens - I guess it depends if you think Spider Aliens could exist in our world. :)

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Your great plan... is to eat our breakfasts?

It is the most important meal of the day, but I doubt it will adversely affect civilization in any significant way.

You say that now...

But who will be laughing when you are weak, when you haven't eaten your eggs and bacon, or your cheerios...

You will be weak of body, and your mind will not react quickly. Then, when you have no breakfast food in your belly, we will catch you!

And your juices will flow (into our bellies).

I've said too much...

You guys are ferocious and all, but I doubt you have tangled with the likes of Count Chocula, Tony the Tiger or Lucky the Leprechaun.

I'd not even go near the Mr. T cereal if I were you guys. Just be glad that Chuck Norris does not have an eponymic cereal.
