looking at wizards site, it looks like the reprinting will be another version of the book alltogether, unless this is a special edition

I'm guessing that "Wizard World" saluting Captain America cover
will probably wind up as the "most valuable" of the Cap 25 options.

(Unless they print 250,000 despite being a "con exclusive"....
and assuming they don't secretly print some "RRP-type" variant
to reward distributors/retailers for their Civil War support.) :hm:

It's a cool Cassaday cover, even if the perspective is a little off. ;)

I wouldn't want to be a shop that jacked up the price on its customers last week for this.

Then again, I would never be that much of a greedy tool.

The LCS I go to sold it for cover, 3 others in the area sold it for $6-$8 last week

No Cap #25's in the Milwaukee area so far, though the biggest shop in town doesn't open until 3:00 so who knows?

My usual shop had tons of people in there, but no Cap #25's to speak of. There were so many people in there the line was almost out the door. I was going to buy my other books there, but I said the hell with it and just put them back and left. Went to another local shop that's much smaller, no Cap #25's, but no lines, either, so I bought my other books there instead.

It looks like the "giant overprint" is gone already. Since alot of the recent ebay auctions were pre-sales, who knows if those orders will get filled. I think the price is going to start going back up.

Then give it a year and watch it fall back down to nothing when they bring Cap back.

Did anyone else receive an email from Lone Star about being restocked on Cap 25's. I clicked the link less than 2 hours after receiving the email and they were already out of stock. Maybe the demand for these hasn't cooled so much after all.

Yeah, I just checked my email and got their "Special Announcement". You're right "all sold out". I wonder how many they got in?

I had been wanting to pick up the new Cap series for a while, but also didn't want to pick up in the middle of a story line. I guess #25 was solicited as being a new direction or the start of a new story line or something because that's where I started ordering it. I had always planned to go back and get #1-24 at some point later this year. So I hope the price on those doesn't jump too much, or perhaps plummets back down eventually.

Well with the above Ebay auctions, I will be happy with my piddly little auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1

I pick up one copy of each cover on the 21st from my LCS. Just gonna bag and board 'em. But what do you guys think about this issue ? Everybody KNOWS that Cap will be back or is 'on ice' or whatever. Yes, they killed a well known character but we KNOW that he will come back. How long will this issue be getting bucks on Ebay ? How long will Cap stay 'dead' ? I had to (I'm sorry but I had to) laugh at the results of my one day auction as well as the many others that went up that day. And here I am going back next week to pick up the same issue plus the regular issue. There are GOING to be MORE and yet people keep paying decent bucks for these two issues. WHY ? I dont get it.
