Favorite Valiant Villains

Post by Fatal Rose »

If I have one complaint it would be the villains, just not enough. Not very many that really stand out to me. But there were a few that I really liked, but my number one favorite Villain so far is by far Borkov! Would have loved to see him go up against Magnus somehow or BloodShot.

VALIANT couldhave used more villains, but they were wise to choose quality over quantity.

As for a favorite, I'd go with Darque.

Early Darque is the one of my top 3 favortie characters period!

(in college, for awhile, my buds called me "Master Nerve" [another nickname besides Elveen] becuase I wore my hair like Darque, no joke!)

I thought Noir was rather underutilized.

There was a guy named Tex. I remember seeing him in a run of Bloodshots. He worked for the Immortal Enemy.

So, Tex.

I'm starting to final build some resemblance of a Valiant collection. As I go through it I'm starting to read more and more about Axe. I really do not like him. He whines, he thinks he's cool, he doesn't seem to be a great villain. It sucks that he would be the one to kill bloodshot. He is the first villain I would like to see die when the new comics come out. Valiant...no *SQUEE* allowed.

Well, Ax lives on till the 41st Century, he made a two issue appearance in Rai.

Lol.

Well, it was more of a residual memory locked within the Blood of Heroes (Bloodshot's nanite-infested blood that Ax took from him in 2028) that Obadiah unlocked while studying the files contained within it.

It's actually not a bad story.

Of course the standard-bearers were Harada, Erica Pierce (Mothergod), Master Darque, and the Immortal Enemy, all very cool. But I also liked Lydia and thought they underused her badly in the end--I'd bring her back and, yes, ignore the part where they said she was "dead," or make up some way for her to be cloned or something.

Rampage was cool--made Bloodshot a little more interesting.

Otherman, the shapeshifter from HardCorps, was cool--I'd like to see them use him again. Wow, those were some great issues by Yvel Guichet!

I actually liked Axe--made a good Harbinger villain, a messed-up kid like they were, only more so. And I guess he counts as one of the standard-bearer villains.

I for one did not like Fred Bender (Dr. Eclipse) much--I thought he was a little lame and over the top. He could be cool if he was darker and not trying to crack stupid jokes all the time.

There are other cool villains they had, but if I wrote for the new Valiant, I'd use the Immortal Enemy and Otherman to their fullest potential.

Even though Silk looked like a wimp, he was a pretty devious villain with some intelligence.

I kind of agree, he appeared a bit too much like a regular comic-book vilain at times, but visually I thought Dr Eclipse was very cool.

I think I'd bump Ax down to to below Immortal Enemy - because Mothergod was so significant ,and I love the visual of Dr Eclipse. Immortal Enemy was such a cool concept fro me as well.
