Is anyone here reading this?
It seems like it's getting more and more press lately, but there's a damned good reason for it... One of my favorite comics month in and month out... I very quickly became an avid Brian Wood fan after reading Channel Zero, and I've yet to be disappointed.
Issue #13 came out yesterday, and it beat out number 4 for me as my favorite issue so far. This new storyline (started in 13) looks like it's going to be fantastic... If anyone was considering picking this book up but hasn't, now is the time!
slight disclaimer: there are definitely some political undertones (or perhaps overtones) to the book, so... take that for what you will.
Very very high on my list, and this most recent issue just pushed it higher.

I liked the first two quite a bit, but missed an issue, so haven't read the rest. Picked them up, just waiting till I get ambitious enough to check if I missed 3 or 4, and then I'll have a Wood reading orgy! (That didn't quite sound right.)
Schmakt, have you read his (Wood's) other indie stuff? Zero's okay, but I greatly prefer Demo and The Couriers (though I own three pages from Channel Zero Jenny One).

I actually really loved Channel Zero... one of my favorite series ever, I think... and Jennie 1.5 was good too.JohnnyRnR wrote:I liked the first two quite a bit, but missed an issue, so haven't read the rest. Demo was also really good in an entirely different way, and I also really really liked that.
The Couriers, Supermarket, The Tourist, and... *SQUEE*... there was one other in a similar vein. Which is all I was going to say. They were good fun kind of like (as Wood described it) going to see an action movie. I prefer his other stuff where it seems to really be getting at something under the surface. Which, I think, DMZ does.
And so does Local... definitely one of my favorite books on the shelves.
