Ultraverse Newbie

Post by J-D Manowar »

Well, here I go. I am going to start to collect the Malibu/Ultraverse stuff. Any tips, suggestions. Is it possible to get every issue/variant/figure/ trading cards? My first step is going to be looking in the local quarter bins and LCS. Any words of advice, inspiration or discouraging words? What is a good Ultraverse website like valiantcomics.com. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ebay is even better than quarter bins for this stuff ... you can get large lots for cheap. Be patient and don't overpay; there are no rare common issues and even the rarest variants can be had for less than $10, often much less.

There isn't really a website like this for Ultraverse stuff anymore, but Big Tel's site (anyone got that url?) has good photos of most of the variant covers. Very handy.

And Tom Mason is still on ebay but he only sells Ultraverse stuff sporadically. Roland Mann is another former editor who sells stuff occasionally but I think both guys have gone throough most of their stuff.
