Scud was one of my favorite books in the mid '90's. Rob was one of the nicest guys to talk to at cons and was always willing to do a sketch. I went up to Milwaukee a couple times to see the Dead Alewives perform and a great time.

The trades have gone for some sick money on ebay in the past.

Before the trades came out Rob had a dust cover collection. It was a simple cardstock cover that he would place the first 5 issues in. I picked one up from him years ago at the Motor City convention. I think I might have a skecth on it as well. I will track it down. :thumb:

I could be way off but I think you are thinking of Greg Hylands Lethargic Lad. I got one of those at a Motor City con way back when as well. It was a make your own TPB.

Personally, I think this series should have been named 'Dud'.

I don't think that would accurately reflect the success the series had before 90's crash and the popularity it still has that causes the back issues to actual be worth a little something, unlike most lines of comics that were produced at the time

Does anyone know of a good site that has Scud and Fireman Press comics? Mycomicshop.com has a lot but their selection is frustratingly incomplete.

Scud is great and is getting an action figure in our Series1 Indie Spotlight line. The sculpts are almost finished and Scud looks ready to blast away! Rob just add the action figure news to his site, hopefully we see a new wave of Scud books.

I didn't know there was this demand for the back issues.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=002
Scud (Fireman Press 1994) full lot run 1-20
end price $154.01
6 different bidders

Wow, I know that the trades go for some big cash but that's kinda nuts. I might be the last issues driving up the price.

On a side note I watched Monster House with the kids yesterday and was shocked to see Rob Schrab and Dan Harmon on the credits for story and script.

Schrab's up to 70 pages!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scud:_The_ ... n#Issue_21

The last mention on his own site says it won't come out before October but getting it this year is a lot more than I'd hoped for.

He was in SD at the Sarah Silverman show panel (he apparently directs it, who knew?) and mentioned that the issue would be coming out.

Well now his site says it's going to be over 100 pages and he's still working on it. Wow!
