Solar 2004 Project

Post by ManofTheAtom »

Just wanted to let you guys know that Dellamorte, Unknown Tales and I are working on a Solar 2004 project.

We'll keep the specifics of it a secret but if everything goes according to plan, it'll be an awesome story everyone will like.

Nice one.

At this stage we'll have a few new Valiants to look forward to this year!

I can't draw and I've no idea how to write a good comic but if I can help anyone with anything at all let me know.

I don't know how much consideration has been brought, but I think that most people on the board would like to see the continuity of Rai 0 brought along with any new books. This includes keeping Gayle the same age.

Don't worry, Rai #0 is being considered while plotting Solar 2004 :)

Well, I don't mean to keep anyone out but writers-wise we're set. I think that three writers is as much as the story can take.

If anyone would like to pencil it... :)

I'd like to offer some penciling help on any of the Valiant projects being revisited.

These are pretty old actually.. and I can safely say that I'm much better now. :)

I quit. you are good. I am much worse, especially when it comes to sequential art. i must ask, and i dont mean to get off topic, but how do you get your panels to be so square and even? It is very hard for me. cant wait to see your work on this project.

Wow!

I'd love to have you onboard this one (Anthony, keep your hands off him, you already have enough pencilers for the Bshot project :), lol).

Email me at manoftheatom3@hotmail.com and I'll send you what we have so far so you can check it out, see if you'd like to do it.

Sign this man on before Marvel or DC gets him under some contract  Do me a favor if you do pencil the project though; don't make Solar all muscular and bulgy :x I hate that! Looking forward to reading the book guys. Btw, how are we going to print copies of these anyway?

No idea, lol.

I'd sign sckao for a comic right now if I could. I have an idea I want to send to Image and already have all the info on how to do it.

I just need pencilers, inkers, colorists and letterers willing to work for free, lol.

Wow! Based on the inclusion of "Moebius strip" and "Sisyphus" on yur website alone, I'd say "You're hired!"

How's about a Bloodshot splash page? (Sorry Mike) PM or email me if you'd be interested...

Thanks. If you buy the 10x15 comic bristol board, they're usually already ruled with a blue line for the page edges. Some usual page gutters are also bluelined although, usually, you just need a ruler and a straightedge. I'd recommend the paper with a Kid Finish rough surface since that holds the pencil better. Some people prefer a smooth plate bristol surface, however. I received some actual DC blueline boards from Dick Giordano and he basically said they were cheap and terrible (very rough), but they held the pencilwork (and inks) well when I used them. Used up a lot of ink though since the ink soaked into the paper. Wasn't even white.. more ragged and yellowish.

I tried to break in during the 90's when I was much younger but I clearly didn't have the drive or perseverance. (I DID learn a lot via portfolio reviews, listening to artist's critiques, etc.) Marlo Alquiza (Image Inker) was in some or my art classes way back then. (I also went to school with Shannon Wheeler and other currently syndicated cartoonists.)

So far we have two confirmed pencilers, Jaknife and Sckao.

Architect offered to ink, but he's the only one I've heard from about that.

We need more artists, so if anyone would like to offer, please email me/pm me :)

We need someone to color (optional) and do the lettering :)
