my valiant story
I started reading comic books when I was 11 or 12 in the early 90's. I picked up a copy of Bloodshot #8 from my next door neighbor. It was downhill from there. I managed to collect the entire run of Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps. Two of the greatest titles ever written. My dad confiscated H.A.R.D. Corps #2 when he saw Big Boy's head exploding. I was too young and poor to get my hands on the pre-Unity books, so I've still never read them. I live in San Diego, and have gone to the Comic-Con every year for 10+ years. Before finding out he was gay, I painted my arm gold and went as Ken from X-O to the Con. My love of comics ended when Acclaim bought out Valiant. What a shame.

Re: my valiant story
Welcome!
Pick up the trade paperbacks for under cover price...
they should be "somewhere" in that great hall in San Diego.
Harbinger #1-#4 (all-in-one), called "Children of the Eighth Day"
X-O Manowar #1-#4 "Retribution"
Rai #1-#4
Shadowman #1-#3 and #6
Valiant Era (reprints some 1992 books)
Unity Saga I, II, III, and IV
If you see them, also go for:
Magnus #1-#4 (Steel Nation)
Magnus #5-#8 (Invasion)
Solar #0 (Alpha & Omega) reprints the inserts from Solar #1-#10
Solar Second Death (reprints the regular stories from Solar #1-#4)
Here's a quick-printing "Cheat Sheet" of some fair prices for Valiant books...
assuming "near mint" condition and buying them in person.

Hmm.... that has to be a first. If he thought that was bad your Dad would have really hated some of those bad girl books by other publishers from theBlood of Heroes wrote:My dad confiscated H.A.R.D. Corps #2 when he saw Big Boy's head exploding.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

When I first saw "Blood Of Heroes", I thought the old poster Blood of Heroes might have come back. I wonder whatever happened with him? He has this Bloodshot web site, for any who have never seen it:

Yeah, Anthony's a good guy. It'd be nice to see him around again.

He used to have some major debates with MOTA, mainly because MOTA loved to trash VH2 which Blood Of Heroes was a fan of. That's why I laugh when I see people feeling pity for MOTA for being suspended. It's not like it was the first time he has flipped out on this board.

The one thing I'll give him is that his vision never changes. He's a stubborn one...
