Re: Unity 3D cover distribution problem
I'd like one of these covers, but I'm really not sure that any of these made it to the UK, as there isn't a single copy for sale on eBay.co.uk
There are some reasonable prices from international sellers, but once I put postage on top of that then it pushes the price too high for me again. I'm only a poor student, I can't afford such luxuries!
Hoping to pick one up down the line sometime when the prices have dropped a little and I can justify the postage cost on top

Re: Unity 3D cover distribution problem
I have two copies: 1 for $200, and 1 for $30. So that averages out to $115 each, which works fine with me.
It will be interesting to get these graded. Much like the VH1 Shadowman/Bloodshot/X-O #0 issues I suspect these will grade quite well and there will be a high number of 9.6-9.8 with VERY FEW graded below.
I was looking at one of mine in particular, and am UNABLE to locate a single flaw whatsoever! Compared it to other 9.8's I have, and it appears superior in every way.
Lol, watch it come back as a 9.8 anyway...

I sent my copy to CGC about a week ago. We shall see what happens! With my luck I'll get a 9.9 or 10 copy...but then so will everyone else.DirtbagSailor wrote:I have two copies: 1 for $200, and 1 for $30. So that averages out to $115 each, which works fine with me.

I garenntee that you will be over the moon when it comes back 9.8 plus.

I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

I'm just being sarcastic. Of course I'd love to have my first every 9.9 or 10!Phantom wrote:you will be upset when you get a 9.9 or a 10 on a book? Just because someone may also get the same.
Be happy when you get the 9.9 or 10

Re: Unity 3D cover distribution problem
I plan on sending mine as well. I've never submitted, so it should be a learning experience. I have several books I've been saving up, including a Batman Adventures 12, which I'll be selling. I'm hoping it will cover the cost of the entire collection I purchased it in!

I sent in two copies as part of my first submission, with a little help from a friend.Intrepidxc wrote:I sent my copy to CGC about a week ago. We shall see what happens! Does anyone know the actual final print run for the 3D variant? Is the Unity Red preview rarer?

If you used your hands rather than gloves to look at it, it probably will.DirtbagSailor wrote:

Re: Unity 3D cover distribution problem
I have a dilema. I purchased a 2nd copy of Unity #1 3D and it's almost perfect, but it has dust in the grooves. Is it better to take it out handle it and dust it off or to send it to CGC with the dust?400yrs wrote:If you used your hands rather than gloves to look at it, it probably will.DirtbagSailor wrote:

I send my first copy to CGC about a week ago. It will be a while before I get it back, but I want to send this second copy as well. (I hadn't planned on a 2nd copy, but the price was unresistable).

Recommend going CSI on it, with gloves and a non-abrasive fine cloth.Intrepidxc wrote:I have a dilema. I purchased a 2nd copy of Unity #1 3D and it's almost perfect, but it has dust in the grooves. Re: Unity 3D cover distribution problem
My local comic shop was supposed to get one, but apparently hasn't, and they've been arguing with their local distributor about it. At least, as of a couple of weeks ago.
I got mine off of ebay.
I'm sure my shop wouldn't have sold me their only copy, or if they did, I would've had to pay much more for it than I was willing to...some of the ebay ones are high, but some of them have sold for 35-40 bucks, which is what I paid for mine. I was happy with that.
Maybe my local comic shop will eventually get one.

For my Valiant: Kindle Worlds stories, check out my amazon author central page, http://www.amazon.com/Richmond-West/e/B ... 204&sr=8-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Sort by price low to high, and the Valiant Kindle Worlds stories will pop to the top.

I bought one from Ed for $200. I bought a 2nd one for $40. I bought one last week for $21! I think they'll all even out eventually, at this rate.

Re: Unity 3D cover distribution problem
I paid $100 for my first copy (thought I was getting a steal) and $25 for my 2nd copy. I need to buy a few more to get my average unit cost down to an acceptable level. Of course I might just be looking for an excuse to buy multiple copies since I love this cover.nycjadie wrote:I bought one from Ed for $200. I bought a 2nd one for $40. Re: Unity 3D cover distribution problem
I finally bought a copy for $25 shipped. This is a really cool cover and looks flawless!
