I read ASM 667 and was less impressed. I thought they Prelude set things up nicely, but in 667 nothing happened. Carie told Peter about her powers and the Avengers showed up to fight all the Spider-Men. Decompressed story-telling for sure.

Detective has been awesome recently, if you get a chance to pick up the last 6-10 issues at some point do it. Amazingly well written and good art switching between Jock and Frankavilla. Creepy, tense and exciting, exactly what detective should be.

I'm a bit behind, but I agree that what I've read from Snyder and Jock has been terrific.

I just read Savage Dragon Back in Blue. I tried Dragon a few months back and I still have the same problems with it. I like the overall story, but the art often makes it tough to see exactly what is going on. If you like 90s comics with tons of fights, this is for you.

I read War of the Green Lanterns: Aftermath, parts 1 & 2. Very good read, in places, with some excellent art-especially in the first half-but overall...still too much setup. So, the GOTU are going to be Nazis. Like we didn't already know that to begin with. Ganthet is in trouble. What else is new? At this point, I want the GOTU to be utterly destroyed. That was part of the problem with WOTGL, because you found yourself rooting for Krona to destroy the GOTU. That should never happen. They should be devious but never totally hissable.

I'm continuing to progress through my "study" of every Eternals series. Working through volume two right now.

I read this stuff, but it's been awhile, so I don't remember a whole lot about it. The new Eternals stuff didn't look like it would be of interest to me, but I did enjoy the Kirby Bronze stuff.

Received all 6 volumes of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing TPBs Monday, so I'm beginning to dive into that. So far I've only read "The Anatomy Lesson," but if that issue is any indication of the quality of this run, I'm super excited.

Another reason I'm excited to read through this set of issues is because the only other Moore stuff I've read before now is Watchmen, V for Vendetta, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and his run on WildC.A.T.S. Maybe I can find copies of "For the Man Who Has Everything" and "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow."

I'm trying to put together an entire run of Swamp Thing before I read them but I haven't been able to resist reading a couple. The first issue I read (that made me want the entire run) was an issue called Blue, stunning stuff. Although it'd never be published these days, too many words... :?

The two Supes comics he did were awesome. Well worth tracking down.

I'm shopping around for a copy of the DC Universe Stories of Alan Moore. I already have a copy of Killing Joke, but that's the only Moore story I own that's included in that volume.

Just wrapped up The Dark Knight Returns. Amazingly enough, in the 20+ years I've been reading comics, this was th efirst time I've read it. Apart from some moments that I felt were just "dark for dark's sake", I thought it was the best thing from Frank Miller I've read so far. The art was tremendous, also.

Sweet! Did you read his first DD run? That's pretty comparable quality-wise, IMO.

Severed #1 from Image. This was good. The art was very appropriate for the period. Since this is a mini, I doubt I'll be tracking down the other issues. However, if they do a nice over-sized HC, I'm all about it!

Batman #713 - Final issue of Batman and thankfully not by Tony Daniel. Ive been constant on Batman for the last few years but have had to drop it in the last few months as it has been utter toss. This is a nice ending to Dicks run as Batman but not perfect and no way near the standard of Detective, but still worth a read.

Daredevil #2 - Still looking good and as Ive said elsewhere I'm enjoying Waid's use and representation of DD's powers. I did think the first half was slot stronger than the ending though as the spat with Cap was something pretty special. Loved the weapon swapping and Matts comment on the shield. Two issues of Daredevil next month, win!

I also went to buy Fables #108 but they were all water damaged... gunna have to find it online. Looked like the start of another interesting arc.

I picked up a copy of the TPB of Wonder Man: My Fair Super Hero written by Peter David for $1.
I don't care anything about Wonder Man but I usually enjoy Peter David's writing and it was a $1.
Peter did not dissapoint. It engaged me and was a page turner and made me laugh out loud to the point where my wife was asking questions. Everything I look for in a comic! I will probably re-read again.

Just started Thunderbolts from the beginning. Pretty good start so far and definitely want to find out where it is going.

Read Resident Evil vol.2 TPB which covers the recent mini from Wildstorm. Definitely a better read when collected. Pretty cool stuff but not groundbreaking. Loved Holiday as a character; a cool working of the literary hardman. Did notice that the band he ran security for changed from Iron Heroes to Steel Heroes in the space of a couple issues. That should have been caught by editorial dept.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century 1969 is tripe. Alan Moore just seems to be on a self-indulgent FTW bender with it, just seeing how much nudity, sex and drug taking he can get away with. Put it down before I was halfway through.

just read Stuff of Legend vol. II - it continued in the same quality as the first and progressed the storyline with some important events and reveals. I'm looking forward to vol. III but I fear that if it just focuses on the Jester it may not move the storyline ahead much.

I just read Cap #1. I don't really like McNiven's art for some reason. It looks photo referenced in some spots, too blank and airy in others and honestly, reminds me a bit of Liefeld.

The story was ok, but nothing great.

I think I'm just done with Cap for the time being. Maybe Brubaker should be too.

Fables 107 & 108. Holy Crap, Batman! Willingham has totally brought back the series! It's stupendous! The new direction since 100-and especially since 105-has been outstanding.

Loved 107, couldn't buy 108 as it was water damaged in Forbidden Planet. Apparently a warehouse got flooded over here. :-S
