<------ Please, please let it be this.
Ha yeah I hope that scene plays out again. I thought that was so cool when I was a kid.
That was the panel that made me crazy for Valiant. It was just so shocking to see a publisher let one of its big heroes get chomped in half.

I have to agree. Reading it felt like a missed opportunity. It actually felt pretty disposable and forgettable for me.
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

I thought all the 'Death of...' books were good :) If I *had* to choose one, I guess I'd go for Bloodshot based on the fact that I just didn't like the pirate bit in the middle of it, because the rest of the issue was solid... So they were all good to me :)

I thought it was a nice surprise that this issue was really sedate. I totally anticipated some kind of blaze-of-glory sacrifice death or something like that, y'know? So getting hit with this curveball was really a good surprise. And it fits that, given the nature of Aric's final moments, that nothing much should really happen in the issue, the tone fits the plot :)

Really liked the plot continuation: banishment of Shanhara to God-knows-where and the new armour forming from Aric and passing to his daughter. I'm really hoping to see Aric replaced with Jhukka at some point in the future for good, I really like her as a character. So, I really don't see this issue as any kind of "missed opportunity": to me it's the perfect way to continue the XO story into the future
