Re: Valiant Release
This exactly what I was implying with my attempt at Valiant humor. Just because Valiant doesn't own the name Magnus, is there some copyright on a robot fighting ninja in the future that may or may not be raised by a free will automaton?MarrowMan wrote:valiant owns "Phil Seleski" no? just call him something else, like "Stellar; Man of Molecules" or go the route of the mockbuster company "Asylum Films" and Just call him Solaar ; Man of Atoms; lol. I dunno there are loads of possiblities
I still wonder if VEI will ignore the 40th century and Rai altogether.

Re: Valiant Release
Bloodshot is kinda the first Rai in a way no? that can still lead to something that "could" happen two millenia down the road

Let's hope not, the futuristic Dragon City was one of the biggest appeals of Rai.Ross2 wrote:This exactly what I was implying with my attempt at Valiant humor. Re: Valiant Release
Trust me with RAI, Timewalker & the Immortal brothers there will be plenty of the future in these books.

Re: Valiant Release
Valiant has already said there will be a Rai (I think it was in the Q&A), but they haven't said there will be a 40th century. My preference would be to have a closer future and build it around Rai instead of Magnus. Magnus is at Dark Horse now (mostly) and I don't see Valiant scoring any points with anyone by making a knockoff of him. I would like to see them do something with Phil Seleski, but he doesn't have to be a man of the atom. Anything could happen to make him the "supreme being" like he used to be. They could even lose the red suit. Maybe he caused the end of the old Valiant universe(s) and the creation of this one and now he's just trying to remember what he was now (though I know how most of this group feels about a multiverse).Ross2 wrote:This exactly what I was implying with my attempt at Valiant humor. Re: Valiant Release
Great ideas etos. I really am concerned about VEI violating some kind copyright. But I won't lie and say I won't miss Magnus, Solar & Turok being a part of the new universe.etos45 wrote:Valiant has already said there will be a Rai (I think it was in the Q&A), but they haven't said there will be a 40th century. Building a new future verse around Rai sounds interesting. As does Phil being around. What is the boards feelings on multiverse? Seems its been done to death, so maybe no.

Re: Valiant Release
Yeah, I will definitely miss Magnus and the future the old Valiant had, but I've come to terms with the fact those characters are gone now. My only hope now is that Dark Horse can do something with them that will resemble what worked at Valiant so their stories can still be enjoyed. I'm pretty sure Valiant owns all of the rights to the Japan from that era and there is a lot to work with just with that.Ross2 wrote:Great ideas etos.
