i think saul zaentz is the problem with LOTR stuff...he's a notoriously hard negotiator.

zaentz used to manage credence clearwater revivial, john fogarty wrote "old man down the road" about him so zaentz sued him for plagarism....of a ccr song that JOHN wrote.

the case was finally thrown out due to the court's ruling that fogarty couldn't steal an idea from himself.

saul zaentz is a major league prick from everything i've heard.
