Since the auction has so little interest and you're not getting any bidding activity I guess I'll offer my 2 cents as to how you can correct things.

Add Caps in the title of the book. Start a new paragraph after, (only 40 produced). Duh, rookie mistake Dino! Bonk!

IFFFF and only IFF you take my advice and diligently follow through with each step you may have a chance of getting a few bids on this ugly duckly of an auction. jk :P :D :thumb:

I kinda rushed it because I was excited and thought I would edit it later. Now ebay won't let me edit....Arch can learn from my mistakes and kick *SQUEE* with his auction copy:)

The website is almost finished.

http://st15.startlogic.com/~dineshsh/va ... /vcvss.htm

I added all the pictures I could to the visual checklist but I sent a few of the books out before I came up with the idea. If the owners of those books could send me scans I'd appreciate it. The books that are missing are:

2/40
3/40
9/40
13/40
23/40
26/40
30/40
35/40
37/40

Thanks Guys

Got mine in the mail yesterday #18, the trip was a bit rough on the book but I really don't care, I don't think it will ever leave my collection. Thanks Dino.

Hey Dino, I see a scan of my #23 on the site, do you need a full sized scan? Lemme know I can scan whatever you need.

Hey sound,
I wanted to do full sized scans of the books but I don't have a scanner and I figured with a camera just the sigs works best. If you want to take the time to scan the book I would love to put it up in the visual database.

....and you all thought that now everyone has thier books this little project was over. NOPE.

Since the books were a big hit and helped get tons of exposure for valiant and even line our pockets a little (if only on paper because no one will sell), I thought it would be a nice gesture to write a thank you note to two people that made it happen. It would give me a chance to finally send Janet the coa for her book and I know she would love a thank you card.

Heres the deal. I figured the best way is to scan the thank you's. Just write thank you or if you felt up to it a little more, scan it in or take a digital picture and send it to me. I'll compile them all and print it out. I'll go out and get two really nice thank you cards, write a note in there and stick the printed thank yous in it and we have a nice surprise (hopefully they don't read this) for the people that took time out of thier busy lives to make this happen. Oh and you don't have to be a recipent of a VcVSS to do this, and you don't have to do this if you were a recipent.

Are you guys up for it?

Oh wait, maybe I can just number something... think that would go over well ? Then you could mail it back to me and THEN I could sign it... well, just as long as I am not 'out of pocket' for MY mistake. :thumb:
OH MY GOD!!!

ROFL!!!

Yeah, Bobbie screwed it WAYYYY up. I'd rather just send a thanks to JJ.

Sorry, Bob, but you're a screwup. You screwed up Valiant, and you screwed up this. DUH.

<laughs>

How many times does someone have to make an error before they stop deserving thanks for what they should have done correctly in the first place?

1?

2?

10?

And not DIFFERENT errors...the SAME error, SEVERAL TIMES....and one which ultimately was NEVER DONE CORRECTLY (see Greg's #40 'unsigned' copy.)

You, UT, would have fired the employee you say you have for the amount of errors....errors that cost Dino money....that Bob Layton made with this, and then had the nerve to say 'I'll fix MY errors so long as *I* don't have to pay for them.'

Sorry, I guess I just don't have THAT much charity in me. I guess that makes me a bad guy. And I wouldn't be so public, if it were not for the nerve of Bob's post. That's geniune chutzpah.

On the other hand....JJ is a kickass sweetheart, and deserves all the thanks she gets, and more.

Even if you feel Dino shows unwarranted generosity with his suggestion, please show him the respect of not dismissing it so categorically.
