You should get it slabbed. :D
Indeed. Then you'll never accidentally read it again.
 best reason ever

that's probably why Youngblood slabs exist

Kinda weird, but I wanna get Punisher the whole Garth Ennis Run. I do own an Amazing Spider-man #129. A book I wanted since I was 8 years old. But I couldn't see myself owning some of the terrible Punisher series in the 90's. I read them as a kid, but now I am embarrassed to say I enjoyed them. I honestly cannot see myself taking a comic like this seriously:
Image
It is awesome for its own reasons it makes me crack up everytime.

But, I would love to have a complete run of EC Comics, Wolvman and Perez's Titans (Started) and Claremont and Byrne's run of X-Men.(Started)

That cover is damn hilarious.

A complete EC run? That might be the most appealing one (IMO) suggested yet. :thumb:

I am down to #1 7.5/8.0, #2-10 im CGC 9.0, #21, 40, 43, 45, 49, 66, 102, 107. Slowly working it down.
Wow. Have you figured out what rank this would give you in the registry for X-Men?

I don't think it would put me that high, as the #1 is the real point value book of the run, but if I didnt collect so many other thing it would be done already.

Hm, that is quite the Everest challenge of collecting, probably up there with collecting Superman.

I would want to break up the run though by artist or favorite artist. Collect all Adams' issues, then Aparo, Davis, Rogers, etc.

Jerry Seinfeld said he had every Superman issue. I read this somewhere, not sure where, but one hell of a price tag this would cost.
Let alone all the space, for either Superman or Batman. All those series too lol

A complete spawn run with all variants and printings would be a huge run.
And I can tell you that many of the regular spawn books have really raised in price
And there are a few spawn variants that really are expensive in the back issue market.

The only 2 issues I am missing are the Spawn 185 B&W variant (the holy grail issue) and the Spawn 1 B&W variant. The 185 B&W goes for extraordinary prices and I just haven't been in a big hurry to get the 1 B&W. Other than those 2 issues, I have them all. The great thing about the my run is that it is a NM set!

I've finally started working on a dream of mine. I've officially started trying to put together a complete slabbed Defiant Comics set. Of course, my ultimate goal will be to get all 9.8s or higher, but I'm sure I will get some grades lower than that and maybe over the course of time try to upgrade.

I remember the earlier issues of Punisher War Journal not being that bad, particularly the Sniper storyline. The one where the Punisher's Vietnam War platoon members were being systematically killed off, and it turned out it was their sniper who was doing such.

Of course, I haven't read it in a long time, so I could be off.

What I found to be horrible was the original Punisher limited series. I thought I'd like it, especially due to Mike Zeck's art....But the storyline was ridiculous and Zeck's art was too cartoonish.

Truthfully speaking, I don't know. I would have purchased those issues back when I was a child and I haven't opened them since. Knowing what I know about the Jeweler inserts, I doubt I have them, and if I do have any, it is not many.

I am currently working on Miracleman and my progress is very slow. So far, I have issues 1-5, & 8. lol. I held off on this series for years hoping a TPB would be released, but I now doubt that will happen anytime soon due to legal issues. These books are expensive! (especially Miracleman 15) :!: I just want to read it but I refuse to download a torrent to do so. Oh well, I will bide my time and eventually get them all. I find the thrill of the hunt to be half the fun.

May I ask why you have a reluctance to download scans of this book? I see no ethical dilemma. The creators/publishers/etc who are the only ones with a claim to the distribution and sale of said material, and they will not be making any of these issues available in the foreseeable future. Therefore the secondary market and scans are the only available options. Why do you find it less dishonest for someone who owns a copy of these very hard-to-find issues to scan it to make it more readily available for people to enjoy for free, than someone who owns the same books, but has decided to make a huge profit off the legal disputes of the various creators involved in the book?

The creators get no money from it in either instance, so why not just get a free download if your main concern is reading it. If the rights ever get sorted out, then you can give the rightful (or not so rightful depending on what the ultimate ruling is) owners your money for these books.
