Yeah, silver, platinum, no one cares what they're called. It's shiny and silvery. :)

The variants *I* know about are the gold, silver-plat, and red...plus maybe a black and white...and of course, the regular blue. If anyone knows of others, please let me know! :)

It's really bizarre. The $100 was near the end of last month, and was the only one up for sale at the time, so it's probably just an anomaly. If people are willing to pay this much for just the signed comic, imagine what they'll pay for one with gloves. Geez.

The $100 sale was a Buy It Now, so I wouldn't use that as a measure of the value of this book. $40-$50 seems about right, maybe a bit higher if one comes along with the gloves and letter.

Well the $100 one did have the gloves and letter. They are very hard to find still together.

I looked at the auction again--You're right. I don't know why I didn't notice that the first time.

How hard would it be to fake the gloves and the letter?

The gloves wouldn't be too tough, I guess. They're just white cotton, no labels of any kind, nothing too fancy. The letter might be toughter, I'm not really up on scanner/copier technology. It has a very faint Deviant logo that covers most of the page, you can just make it out in the scan I put up on page 2

You know, that would be a piece of cake. Probably the same deal for the X-O Database VVSS.

Easy forgeries. :P :D
