Re: CBR Discussion With Valiant Execs
Loved the article/interview, but not real impressed by the Neal Adams cover to be honest. I still want to get it (since I'm a, you know, completist) but I think the Aja variant is the best of the bunch for A&A.

Very good article! Their excitement is very infectious. I also saw the comments on CBR to the article have been positive so far. While that may mean nothing, only a couple of months ago there were generally at least a few naysayers for each article.

What other company has execs that love their universe as much as Valiant's do?FormerReader wrote:Their excitement is very infectious.

Valiant is the son of the New Universe.

Re: CBR Discussion With Valiant Execs
Finally got to read the interview. Very nice.
I was heartened to see them not burning any bridges with the original Valiant talent (Shooter, BWS, Layton, etc) and even that twitter guy (the one with all the pouches) who accused them of buying back unsold copies. Class act. And smart.

Is that what they were referring to there? It read like it went beyond the Liefeld spat. I didn't know there was any discussion about them buying back their books. That was actually the first time I'd ever heard that mentioned anywhere.

This is all a good sign that the Valiant U is in great hands. I hope the entire staff stays on board for the long haul. I'd hate to see anything resembling what happened to Shooter occur this time 'round.

I'm pretty sure the guy with no feet was the first to say that...at least in an open forum. There may have been others, but I think the discussion started with puffy head gear guy.400yrs wrote:jmatt wrote:and even that twitter guy (the one with all the pouches) who accused them of buying back unsold copies. That's how I recall it; scratchy liney face guy was the first to make the accusation.BugsySig wrote:I'm pretty sure the guy with no feet was the first to say that...at least in an open forum. So, instead of all these variant covers... it's high time to make some posters for sale, eh?

Re: CBR Discussion With Valiant Execs
sweet article. Makes me shed a tear for the future though... when things hit the fan and I won't be able to afford to buy any more of the ongoing variants. September... I'm looking at you...
