Crutch, modern convenience, what's the difference?

Tomato, tomawto.

It supplies me with a good paycheck, I won't complain.

After 20 years in the Army, I consider indoor plumbing and AC to be a crutch. Right up there with food.

Ah, If I only had two of ya in the field 'back in the day', we would be fighting a different... cooler war.

Might also want to avoid asthmatic rock-climbing at night. Especially if you're legally blind.

After 18 years of the Boy Scouts, I consider indoor plumbing and AC to be things that I like and enjoy.

I spent entire months living out of a tent. I can go camping but I don't like it anymore. And I appreciate that rough men do violence on my behalf so I don't have to go camping.

Totally agree Chiclo. Even a picnic lunch has lost its appeal.

We have a dining room. It's got AC. Case closed.

When the legally blind guy posted that he was in a coma and would like boardies to send him free comics to read it did kinda send up a red flag or two.

The thing that made me really mad, was that I had a much better story that I was gonna go with in order to get some sympathy and free books, but he kinda ruined it for everybody.

I think the guy was more of a "sociopath" than a "psychopath". But the blind dude scaling the walls was pretty classic, and not in a good way.

Any chance of more hardcover collections next year? Been reading the Harbinger one and it's wonderful.
Valiant wrote:Yes, new reprints will be available next year

I think this is a great idea even if no new material is added. Also, if new floppies are in the pipeline anyway, no need wasting resources expanding on the reprinted material in the hardcover. Print them as previews for the new comics if they are just being viewed as advertising for the return of Valiant.

Anyone else already tired of seeing all of MOTA's comments on their Facebook page? Good Lord. That dude alone may drive off all the fans from their page.

The guy sure is technical. I remember why I stopped reading his posts.
Pull List: I only buy TPB's, HC's and Hellboy comics

I actually enjoy talking with him... his opinions are strong and one-sided, but when he has a point, it's a good one. He and I have had a few "back and forth" moments, but I just look at them as good debate.

The latest has been the "When the future date should be"... I like his idea of "changing how they perceive dates", but I still like my "changing it to the Harbinger Wars date" better. :D

I more of the mind of VEI just making good comic books that I enjoy reading. :thumb: Or as Mota would say "coameek bouques".

MOTA gives me a headache and turns me off.

Yeah, that's Man of the Atom (Michael Sacal). His FB thread domination sucks. And unfortunately, there's no ignore that I know of on FB.

Therefore, I tend to ignore everything posted in there.

Just sayin'

For those interested, MOTA has announced he is no longer going to post on the FB page for VEI.

I'm sure some will see it as passive-agressiveness, but if his presence on the FB page will drive people away, he'd rather not do it.

I really didn't see him as being a problem on the VEI page. I enjoyed most of his posts, I can't think of any moments where he crossed a line on there. I'm actually disappointed... is that weird? :?

Where did he announce it at?
